Relax, enjoy, and have fun 🙂 Also consider trying on dresses even if you don’t like how they look on the hanger.

Bring a snack and a bottle of water.  I brought a bag of almonds and water.  I didn’t eat them but my shopping buddy did while trying to sober up from our bottomless mimosas brunch we had after the appointment 🙂

If you know you’re going with a strapless gown, try to wear a sturdier strapless bra.  It will give the sales rep something to clip the dress to if it’s a smaller size. Even if the shop provides undergarments, isn’t that just as gross as wearing used shoes?

If you have them, take the undergarments and shoes you’ll be wearing if you can.  Try on dresses, even if they’re not your ‘style’. Keep the dresses on for extended periods of time so that you can really imagine yourself on your big day.  Don’t feel pressured.  Stay within your budget, you set it for a reason.  Have fun!  It’s the rehearsal for the ultimate dress up day!

@Waitingbee57:   Relax and enjoy the day – this is the start of a fun process!!  Try different silhouettes, take photos, and don’t be pressured.  Look at the photos at home to see how the dress photographs.  Smile!!

Bring water, for sure. I didn’t and I got really light headed and that was no fun. And bring patience 🙂 Have fun and good luck!
