@hazyleyedbeauty:  My hubby and I talked about e-rings before he proposed. He asked what my finger coverage preferance was. *Shrug* It wasn’t a big deal for us.

I’ve been engaged for over a year. I just asked FI if I could see the certification bc I know nothing about my ring except that its beautiful. Im only curious because all of the bees seem to know everything about their rock, and I don’t know anything lol.

I only have a size estimate bc a friend told me! I guess he told one of his guy friends and the guy told me it was about a carat and a half (guy said he wanted to get his gf a 1 1/2 carat like mine).

@hazyleyedbeauty:  A couple of days after my H proposed he gave me the appraisal and certificate. He was so proud of how much he saved up and the process of picking it out that he wanted to share all of the details.

Mine was kind of a hand-me-down from a relative. The relative never mentioned…I guess we could ask but it’s not a big deal to me. My mom took a guess and said maybe .75 or so.

@hazyleyedbeauty:  I have been married for over a year and engaged a year before that and I have no clue what CW my ring is. I never asked and I never was one to really care!

Quite a few of us helped pick our rings out… that’s why I know. Plus I handle the insurance stuff.

I don’t know the price, but he did tell me all the specs when I got it. I think he was pretty proud of it, for good reason!

He told me the weight of the center stone, but I don’t know the total carat weight including the sidestones or any of the other specs. I love it so I don’t really care!

I know what my center diamond weight will be, but that’s only because it’s a family stone from my great grandmother! I have no idea what the setting weight is though.

@hazyleyedbeauty:  I didn’t vote because there wasn’t a good option. I don’t know the TCW of my setting although I could, because I found it and then showed him, I just didn’t pay attention/don’t remember. I do know the size of the center stone. But that is also not because of any of the poll answers, I knew he wanted something comprable to his sisters, which was a family stone and I knew the size of that. Then he couldn’t make it to a diamond show he wanted to check out so he sent his sister and I, and then her and him made the final decision. They went with the one her and I had chosen at the store.

I also handle all of our filing so I have the certificate and the receipt. There aren’t any secrets about it. I also knew the ring budget, because we wanted to buy a house and we discussed down payments and our finances before engagement.
