@million -- seriously? you're amazing! i could totally use some help finding bridesmaid dresses! you asked for it so here goes :)
i'm looking for dresses that have all the following elements: (1) dark purple (think eggplant/plum/amethyst) (2) floor length, (3) NOT strapless. i'm thinking a fabric like chiffon is good - (4) nothing too clingy or that shows the tummy rolls - the girls will feel too uncomfortable in that (e.g., fitted satin). here's the catch - (5) i want them to spend under $150 each. and i DONT want them to look cheap! this is a formal black tie wedding and i want things to look classy, but that doesn't mean i want to break my bridesmaids' banks!

Hey Jalter, I have 7 bridesmaid dresses for you to look at (see attachment).
They're all floor length, available in eggplant/plum/purple, not strapless, loose fitting, and under $150. (Well, except for the last one which I included because it looks great on the model!)
Aside from the formal, black-tie description you gave me, I don't know what the overall style of your wedding -- or your taste -- is, but hopefully this is at least a starting point to help you decide.
