Are you my twin? I went from 135 to 160 in about a year and a half too! I don't have stretch marks on my butt, but I do have a few on my thighs. I'm back down to 142, and I think they're more noticeable now. Oh well. There's just a few, and who is going to be looking that closely at my thighs?
I'm scared of them too! I have very faint ones on my hips from growth spurts but since they are light, I don't think anything can be done with them. Probably, your husband will never notice or care about your stretchmarks.
Ok I'm 22, 5 feet, 104 pounds and I have stretch marks on my thighs, always have. I mostly got mine from growing taller when I was younger. I gained a bit my freshman year of college and lost it all a year later, and I agree with Boston Bee that they seem more noticeable now, oh well :/
Honestly, most women have stretch marks somewhere on their body, don't fee lbad!
apparently i'm NOT alone.. i had the exact same thing happen, but i woke up one day with what i thought were bruises.. but they never went away, they eventually faded into stretch marks all over my thighs!!!
I guess I am the most upset because my honeymoon is a month away and that means tons of bikini time! Theres only a few but they are on the edges like right outside where my bikini would end..I know tanning will make them less noticeable and I know FI doesnt care ( I actually called him as soon as I found out..I regretted that as soon as I hung up hahaha) I know he doesn't care because he has tons of stretch marks because of puberty I guess.
Like 97% of people (men and women) have stretch marks.. I wouldn't worry about it. I have them on my tummy from my baby. My FI didn't even notice until I pointed them out.
Like the comedian Kat williams says "Real men don't have no time to worry 'bout no sh!t like stretch marks... They came from either 1 of 2 things... Either you was big & got small, or you were small & got big ! Either way we f***in'... Either Waaay!"
I have a bunch of faded ones from losing alot of weight in my teens.
Bunch of them from growing up, first got them around 12 yo. Terrified about pregnency, but what am I to do??
Who doesn't have stretch marks? I have always seen them pop up here and there throughout my lifetime, and have seen them on others as well. No biggie.
@PixelMePretty: OMG hahahaha I'm dying that was PERFECT! Hilarious. hahaha!!
@Jenny, I've heard of natural cures that worked in some cases... you could try this site for some ideas. But really, I'm sure they're not that bad and you still look amazing to your FI! :)
I am 26 and have a lot of stretch marks from gaining and losing weight. They aren't terribly noticeable. I know this because no one notices them but me. My fiance didn't notice them until i pointed them out and he doesn't care. He always tells me they aren't as noticeable as I think they are. You are always going to notice your physical "flaws" before other people do if they ever even notice.
I've had them for so long from gaining and losing weight when I was younger that i don't even pay attention the them anymore. I am sure you look great and your fiance doesn't notice them and even if he does he does not care!
I got stretch marks at 12-13 just from growth spurts and puberty. I have them on my thighs mostly going left to right, a few on my butt, some faint ones on my breasts, and some even on the backs of my knees. Everybody grows. I'm a size 0-2. So don't look at stretch marks as a sign of being fat. I didn't notice the ones on my butt until I was in my twenties--are you sure they haven't been there since you hit puberty?
If it really bothers you, you could try bio oil or mederma or something. But.... I have 'em too. So does FH. I had white thin ones before and never noticed the dark ones forming on my belly while I was pregnant, but after having the baby I saw them. I just think of them as "battle scars".
I have gross stretch marks from having my daughter. I also decided it would be fun to gain 60lbs during my pregnancy so that didn't help. =[ I hate them and very very rarely ever take my shirt off in front of my future hubs. I also have thee worst self esteem of all time so that doesn't help at all lol. I mostly only have them on my stomach but also some on my boobs and behind my calves (wtf) and thighs.
Better your butt than your boobs....seriously!!! When I was 23 I literally went from flat as a board to a 32F in less than a couple months. Stretch marks on my boobs now is the result. Have cellulite on thighs to go along with them. I wouldn't worry too much, every girl has something they aren't happy about. Just get a cute sarong or little skirt and walk with confidence. A tan always hides them as well!!!!
I have terrible stretch marks on my tummy from being pregnant twice. My mother also had them. She had four of us. I can say though hers have faded a lot over the years. So that is something to look forward to as I get older.
I think everyone has stretch marks... so yeah, the fact that you never noticed that every other girl has stretch marks is a good thing - no one's going to notice on you either! Seriously, if you actually look at people on a beach you'll notice that even young (well, prob not teenage girl young, but 20's young) thin girls have stretch marks.
I have stretch marks on my butt too.. and not sure why. I've never had any major weight gain or loss. I just noticed them one day. It must be related to hormones or something, I don't know.
I have tons of old stretch marks (hips, thighs, boobs, butt) from teenage growth spurts. I bet if you asked all the women you know, you will find that you are not alone. As women we tend to focus SOOOOO much on every little flaw we have, because we are conditioned to this fake photoshopped perfection we see in magazines and such. NOBODY is perfect in real life! But that doesn't mean we aren't fabulous as we are. :-)
Yup, 24 and stretch marks on my boobs and hips, and inner thighs, from when I got porky in high school and my hips turned into child bearin' hips...
They do fade over time though. Not so useful if you're going to be in a bikini anytime soon, but even so, they're probably not as noticable as you think?
So many people I know have them, just from puberty. Even my boy, who is the skinniest little thing ever has a couple in random places. I use cocoa butter on mine, not to try and fade them (that ship has long since passed), but because it smells yummy and if they are well moisturised they seem to blend in a bit better with the rest of your skin.
Oh my gosh! I have stretch marks everywhere, mostly from just growing when I was younger. Over the past few years, I've gained a lot of weight so I've gotten some on my stomach.
I know they're not the prettiest things, but hey- everyone has them, except for the very few freaks of nature that NEVER get them. But I wouldn't worry about it too much, chances are you're the only one that notices them!

O.k so I am 23 and I went from 135lbs to 160lbs in a matter of a year and a half. I was so relieved that I never got any stretch marks. Well my weight has been pretty steady for the past year I am still at 160 but at least I havn't gained any more weight. Well today while checkin myself out in the mirror I realized I have STRETCH MARKS on my BUTT! I like my butt, I think it's cute and now I have ugly stretch marks. I don't know why or when they got there but I am upset. I know it's silly and not a big deal but stretch marks have always freaked me out. I used to always have these dreams where I was pregnant and in my dreams I would scratch my belly and I would wake up crying because I thought I had stretch marks lmao. I am prepared for stretch marks when I have a baby but not now. Is anyone else scared of stretch marks?
