DH leaves me love notes on Post-Its from time to time. In my car, on my car, on my computer, on the door, by the bed, on the bathroom mirror...he's even been known to hide them before so I'll randomly come across them when I move something. I love it!
@PrncssDva: Cute!
Our best man from the wedding's mom pulled me aside not too long ago and I was beeming after what she told me. She told me that she was downstairs folding laundry while my man and his buddies were upstairs watching hockey. I guess all the boys were teasing my man because on the night of the bachelor party they had bought him a beautiful stripper and he REFUSED. He was pretty drunk and obviously under the influence of his friends, but he out right told him no. Upstairs with his friends he defended his refusal by stating it was not the way he wanted to start our marriage.
After all the bachelor party horror stories I have heard this melted my heart!!
Since our first date, I haven't opened my car door once. Sometimes I forget, and as I reach for the handle he hits the lock button on his remote just to make sure that he can get the door for me. It's a small thing, but it's very sweet.
i don't get flowers, but sometimes i come home and all my laundry is done! :) it's better than flowers!
he not only cooks me supper every day, he will what i want! i am like "i get a choice? i am just so happy you are cooking and i don't have to, i will eat whatever you make!"
@west.coast.blonde: LOVE that story!
My husband and I honeymooned in Germany in April, and I had some of the best coffee in the world in the restaurant at one of our hotels. I bought a bag of coffee to bring back for my mom, but I didn't think to buy any for myself. I checked the hotel restaurant's website to see if I could order some, but no lucky. A week later my husband hands me a package and says, "Here's a just-because-I-love-you gift," and it contained three bags of my beloved coffee all the way from Germany!
DH calls me EVERYday as soon as he gets off of work... and txts me "I looooooove you" at every break. I think it's so cute!
and I'm with blueroses DH puts up laudry all the time.... which I totally suck at so it's a HUGE help. lol
Oh and probably one of my favorites that DH does is every evening when we sit down for dinner he's says prayer and ALWAYS says how thankful he is for me and how I'm such a wonderful wife.... it always makes me smile. =)
My husband is amaaaazing! I'm currently studying for the Bar Exam and DH has basically been coordinating my entire life so I don't want to leap off the roof. He wakes me up in the morning, does all the dishes, does all the laundry, makes sure I don't screw around, and takes me for long walks every evening to unwind. He plans date nights or day trips for us to take so I can have some fun, and brings home my favorite treats to perk me up. My back was killing me last week so he harassed the management at our apartment complex until they fixed the community hot tub so I could soak in it. He reads the Bible to me and prays with me every night before bed and thanks God for giving him a wonderful, beautiful, perfect wife. He's so great, its almost sickening. Needless to say, my mom is obsessed with him. And so am I.
(And I still do some stuff too, I swear! I cook all our meals, do all the grocery shopping, straighten up the house, and supported him through two Bar Exams!)
Well my DH almost always cooks for me, and usually tries to get home before my alarm goes off so that he can wake me up instead of an annoying alarm (I work night shift). The other night, he stayed up late so that he could eat dinner with me at work, at 2AM, and brought me a home made dinner.
@west.coast.blonde: Uh-MAZING. Thats exactly how I think ALL men should be. Consider yourself one lucky woman.
I don't want to brag or anything but since we are sharing stories... :] My fiance (soon to be hubble bubble) will fold/wash/dry ALL laundry, does the dishes, makes the bed, puts my pj's in the dryer to warm them up for me after I get out of the shower before bed, cooks, cleans the entire house, and will go shoe shopping, bra shopping, and panty shopping with me. How lucky am I? Lol I don't ask for these things at all, he just does them and I remember when I first asked him "why are you so nice all the time and perfect?" He said something so cheesy and cute like "don't all princesses get treated like royalty". I'm no princess lol but he's a sweetie pie for sure.
I remember one time I was sick beyond IMAGINE. I had swine flu :/ but anyways he went out at 2 AM and came back with orange juice, advil, dvds, soup, saltine crackers, and some vanilla scented candles. I knew I'd marry him that day.
@dolphi99: AW!!! I wish my DH would stay up and have dinner with me at 1AM!I work night shift too. He does cook when I work, and I don't always cook when I don't work.
I'd have to say that lately my DH has been awesome about everything. He lets me sleep later than normal, helps me out around the house and tells me when he thinks I'm working too hard. I could really get used to being pregnant. :) He is being just amazing lately, he doesn't complain if I get emotional or if I tell him I'm sleepy and need a nap.
AWWWWWWWWWW such sweet stories!! We bees have the best guys EVER!
hubby still opens doors for me too. He even pull sout hte seats for me most times!!
I have a new story. I was telling him that I have been wanting some McDonald's pancakes for a week (just told him yesterday). He brought me some this morning after he got off work and before i headed off to work. We only have about a 10 minute turn around in the morning. He works overnight and I work regular shift.
You won't find me bragging to anyone in my town about him! I don't want some crazy hussie going after him...hahaha. BUT for the BeeHive. Why not?
Wow, What hasn't he done?!! Seriously, I was expecting the romantic gestures to die out when we were engaged! But nope. Through and through he's on top of it.
House chores and Errands...
The two things that come to mind right now are:
Last night he told me while he was at a Lake in the afternoon doing some work, his co-worker signaled to him about some "Hott chicks" (I forgot what he called them?)
He raised his hand and signaled to him twisting his ring. "I got my girl"
*Tear* No water works for me yet! It doesn't count until you've had kids and "lived a little" LOL.
The other though. Coming back from our honeymoon I got real sick. He's been taking care of me since! The medication that I'm taking is bad for babies (could cause birth defects) so he said he'd wait for me until I'm ready. Abstaining from sex when your married for a potential month? A Big WOW! I was floored to say the least.
LOL. My Husband was saying and doing things like that throughout our engagement all the time. It's amazing isn't it?!
It's sometimes overdone! I can do it myself!!
This is probably TMI but one of the reasons why I love my DH...
I have MS and since this past fall, when I get the urge to go #1 I need to find a bathroom quick because I'm having trouble with control. Up to last month I've always made it in time, though had more than a few close calls. On our honeymoon in Punta Cana, our room was the farthest from the main lounge and restaurant areas (a good 5 minute walk). Well we left after dinner to return to out room the last night we were there, I realized halfway between I had to use the restroom...too far to go back but still a few minutes away from our room. I threw off my heels and began to run as quickly as I could. I got to our building (we were on the 2nd floor), started running up the stairs and I lost control. Lost control, as in, full out stream...no stopping it no matter how hard I tried. My maxi dress was soaked, not to mention my underwear. Thank god no one was around. Still I finally made it in our room and just sat down on the toilet and began sobbing uncontrolably. He came in, saw me, drew a bubble bath in the whirl pool tub, undressed me (I was litterly dripping in my own urine), and carried me into the tub. All the while making me laugh (not laughing at me). That is why I married this man...when I'm at my worst...I can always count on him to be there and make me smile.
@courtbu17 - you made me tear up with yor sweet story. Well just the other day right before going to bed I mentioned all my work jeans were dirty for the next day but was so tired I just went to sleep. Well the next morning I jump up to get ready and was surprised with my clean laundry my hubby washed and lightly dried for me. Simple but soooooooo sweet.
@courtbu17: That is the sweetest thing I think I have ever heard! A week after out wedding (a whole three weeks ago :-D) my DH came home and told me he had a suprise for me and wouldn't tell me what it was. I went about my buisness. He had made me dinner, poured a bottle of champagne that we were gifted for our wedding and suprised me with a slice of the cake we had at our wedding that we both got one tiny bite of (during our cake smash) before being swept away to do something else. It was no large gesture but it made me swell inside that he had thought so go get it so we both could enjoy it now that we were finally winding down from our whirl wind.
Loving the stories! I also think I have the best husband ever! Just the other morning I was reflecting on this very thing and it brought tears to my eyes! I am currently 7 months pregnant and early on in the pregnancy started thinking about having a home birth. At first my husband wasn't really into the idea, but after a lot of thought and reflection on his part we decided that this would be the best route for us, and he is completely on board and support of. I am so happy that, while we really wasn't sure in the beginning, he took the time to educate himself and consider it because he knew it was important to me.
Another great thing? As I type this he is hanging up towel bars in our bathrooms! yay!
We're not married yet, but today FI was more affectionate than ever (and, he's very affectionate to begin with, lol). On top of that, however, we were in Walmart doing some grocery shopping, when we walked by the baby department, and he exclaimed, "I can't wait until we get to go shopping in that section, again!" (we have a 6yo DD, and plan on TTC by the end of the year).
Lately he's been making comments about how excited is is to finally be marrying me, and how he can't wait to see me in my dress, how he's so excited to be planning the wedding, etc..
This morning my husband took care of all the pets, let me sleep in and then woke me up at 11:30 to tell me he went out to get breakfast. He brought me a tuna melt on sesame bagel and a red bull. It was like the perfect meal to me! Then he started cleaning and did a lot. He also made a deal with me that if I updated my resume today he would take care of all the laundry!
Aw, I love this thread, we've got some good men!
My husband knows I dislike my job and after a particularly bad day about a month ago I came home to vaccumed house and flowers on the counter with a card that says "thanks for being my wife"
We've only been married three weeks, but he's brought me a few roses every Friday since the Friday we got married (there were also 2 dozen roses waiting for me in the bridal suite before the ceremony.) Thanks for the thread! I've been wanting to tell someone that for the past 3 weeks! He also walks my (now our) dog as much as I do. Lovely stories ladies!
these are THE BEST stories ever!!
@courtbu17: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I am so tearing up over here!
@courtbu17: that has to be one of the sweet stories EVER!!! What a fantastic husband!
My husband has an uncanny way of knowing exactly when I need to go for a walk. Whenever I'm upset about something, he drags me off my feet, gets the dog leash and we're off to cruise the neighborhood with Ace :) We don't talk about what I'm thinking of - it's just the act of getting out of the house and moving around with him that puts me in a good mood.
@courtbu17: MS is a battle and I'm super happy for you that the man in your life is there to fight it with you. <3 He sounds pretty darn perfect! ;)
PinkPeppermint : I have to admit the whole princess quote got me a little chocked up! Lucky girl!
I also feel very lucky to have found my fiancé.. He treats me like a princess.. ( although sometimes I act like a bratty little girl) He makes me breakfast every weekend as I sit on the sofa and catch up on my reality shows. He will make dinner when im to tired and hell even have my lunch packed for me in the mornings. He helps me with the house chores.. and is currently sanding/ panting all the furniture I plan to use for our wedding! We are truly blessed ladies J
I love this thread! Here's one (of many) reasons why I think I have the best husband. A week ago we donated blood. Over the past few years, I've started feeling light-headed after donating blood, but I thought I'd try again this year. After donating, we were walking up some steps to get to the parking lot. Everything started getting fuzzy and I told my husband I need to hold the handrail. The next thing I remember was him shaking me and saying "Sweetie! Sweetie! You passed out. I'm going to get the nurses." I have NEVER passed out in my life so it was very weird. Anyway, it just made me love him even more than I already did because he caught me, got help, and spent the rest of day taking care of me and making me stay on the couch. He was just so nurturing and concerned and sweet.

He just called me at work to tell me that he loves me. That is all...I was like *swoon*. How sweet is that?! What is something sweet that yours has done lately.....no matter how small.
