@TwoStatesBride:  Whine away!

Don’t worry, everything should go smoothly…though I know we always imagine the worst! It’s probably just nerves talking, so have yourself a relaxin day (perhaps spa day just like your ring? 😛 ) and don’t fuss about it.

I have a random ring question – is it common for white gold rings to become yellow? I have a few white gold things and none of them have turned yellow…though they were all bought in Europe, if that matters. My ring is the only one purchased here, and it’s also fine for now & still the same color. Now I’m worried though! 😛

47 days away?? How exciting! What else do you have left to do??

Aww, but think of how happy you’ll be when you get it back!

I just got my ring re-dipped again (picking it up today!!) and honestly, I think they give you a worst case scenario timeline to be safe. They told me it would take mine 2 weeks and it was done in 5-6 days. Try not to worry about it even though I know it’s tough! The hardest part for me is that I have to be ringless until the big day. 🙁 Thankfully it’s only 20 something more days… I want to keep the white gold and cleaning perfect for the day lol.

I feel you – just had to send mine off a week or so ago, they also told me 2 weeks but I got it back in just under a week and a half and it looks amazing. Keeping busy will help, I would still occasionally whine about not having it on, though… 🙂

@TwoStatesBride: Gorgeous ring!!

Ahh ok – it’s only noticable as you put it next to the brand new wedding band. I see what you mean, and I knew the part about yellow gold I just wasn’t aware of the fact that it actually turns at one point. Like you and wiki explained, It has a lot to do with body chemistry & also what kind of gold you have (18K vs 14K vs 10K). 12 months later, it’s still fine 😛 but I’ll have to check and make sure it doesn’t turn sometime close to the wedding as well! 🙂 Thanks for the heads up! 🙂

Keep us posted on how this goes (though I am sure it will go fine!) and keep yourself busy.

@TwoStatesBride:  I’m actually not sure. 🙁 I think they send it somewhere, but somewhere close to me. I can definitely see why that’s a little scary! I know I’d feel better with a package tracker.

Ugh, I know I’d hate sending my ring out like that, too. I keep having nightmares that my ring gets lost/broken/stolen and waking up in panic attacks, lol. I’m sure everything will be fine, and it will return to you super sparkly and even prettier than before! 🙂
