I am afraid to look at my checklist!
I am talking with a final contender for photography today (OOT, portfolio building, great price, precious from what I can tell), and I plan on asking my BM’s in September.
I’ve got a dress and venue deposit down.
The big things are stressing me out (DJ & food) so I am choosing to ignore them and just look at happy wedding things and ignore drama I forsee coming down the pipe.
Anyone else enjoying the lull? Or do you have one? Remind me of what I need to be doing right now!

Hey date twin!
I’ve booked my photog, and we have a venue and I’ve picked (but not ordered) my dress, but still haven’t settled on a caterer or DJ, so I’m with you on that. Definitely feeling a little behind.
I also haven’t asked all of my BMs (having a hard time deciding!), so maybe I’ll follow your lead on that and make up my mind by December!
I use WeddingWire’s budget tool, and I think their checklist mentioned DJ, food, and start making a wedding website at this point.
Just looked again, and they also mention finding a florist for this month, but not needing to book flowers, DJ or caterer until August. But, really, the sooner that stuff gets out of the way, the less stress, IMO! 🙂

I’ve now got a DJ so, just food! Eeek! Then I feel like I’m down to ceremony specifics (music, etc), logistics, and crafts on crafts. But could that really be all?!
I feel like this is a lot easier than I expected!

Hey date twins! (Date triplets??)
We have booked the ceremony & reception venue (same place), officiant, and photographer. The invitations and my dress are both on order. The wedding website is done, and the gift registry is done for now (I’m sure we’ll want to add a few things as time goes on).
We haven’t worked the food & bar out with the venue yet, but it’s a restaurant so it will just consist of choosing – no need to book a separate caterer. We have yet to even look into a DJ or florist.

Well you guys make me feel loads better. I’ve purchased the dress, put a deposit down with the venue/reception location and photographer. My cousin used to be a DJ so I found a place that will let me have the basic DJ equip/speakers with uplighting for $500. Luckily my brother is an audio technician and he will be bringing extra speakers for the system. I have not been able to find food that 1)isn’t insanely expensive and 2)that is cheap and good. Not tearing my hair yet but it’s almost to the point where I just want to go to Sam’s club and buy party trays and have the teenagers in my extended family man the food stations. Ugh!

I have the venue (ceremony and reception) which includes food, the photographer, the dress, the cake, invitations planned, the officiant, some of the decor, the DJ, and we have flowers planned (DIY from fiftyflowers.com)… Now just trying to think of what else can be accomplished this far out…
