Yesterday, my FI and his dad and sister started a hike on the Appalachian trail. My FI and I only did a day hike of 14 miles and his dad and sister went on to do some overnights! I am so jealous, I am itching to hike more and camp out. It was my first big hike. It was amazing! Just wanted to share, in case there are any other hiker bees out there who might want to share!

Awesome! Every year a group of guys from DH’s office hike it for about a week…not sure how far they go. DH and I really want to plan a hike!

GORGEOUS! My husband & I hike the Virginia & Kentucky mountains very often!
Here are some of our photos:
In this next photo some wild horses are in it but I wished we could have gotten a better picture with more of the horses:
The photo above my little sister was with us. It was her first time hiking, I think next time she will wear tennis shoes. lol

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: That looks like a beautiful place!
My FI and I are talking about doing another weekend trip after the wedding and then saving up for a week trip to do the GA portion completely of the Appalachian trail. The move on to NC!

@Hiya_Unicorn: Beautiful! Which part of the AT were you hiking?
@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: So pretty! I always think the mountains in NY are so beautiful and your pictures are a reminder that there are so many more places in the US I need to see!

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: I love that your Pom goes hiking with you! We take ours on long walks but many of the trails around her don’t allow dogs. Bummer!

@Treejewel19: That is a huge bummer. 🙁 When we take Sophie we only do 1 hour hikes because she gets tired though. & We bring her water. 🙂
@celticbride: Yes! There are so many places on my list!
@Hiya_Unicorn: How amazing! Come back with pictures! 🙂

Very cool, love it!
I love hiking. Unfortunately, in north Texas, everything is flat, so we don’t have those cool views!

Those are some gorgeous pictures. I would be terrified to camp overnight though, I am just a big ol’ chicken.
But a daytime hike would be just awesome!
