Yippee!!! I finally decided what to get him (and he better not be stalking me on WB, which he promised not to do) :D

-hefty gift certificate to an indoor rock climbing place near-ish his house (DC girls - anyone been to Earth Treks? The reviews online looked good!)

-hiker's camping hammock and hanging system from ENO

-rice cooker (he complains all the time about not having one even though he's asian)

-aaaaaand I'll pick up a Beijing Starbucks travel mug on my way out of the country in THREE WEEKS!!

Woo hoo! That's a big check off the To Do list that is December :) I love amazon ~ free shipping is the way to go!

What'd you end up getting your honey?

Awesome gifts! Out of curiosity, how different do the Starbucks mugs look in China?

I ended up getting FH a leather messenger bag (he stole my canvas one earlier this year and now won't let it out of his sight!) and 2 Wii games (Wii Fit Plus and Super Mario Bros).

@littlemissmoo - I think they do it in the States too, but Starbucks' international chains all have City Mugs - they have gigantor ceramic ones (they're bigger than like ... my soup bowls. They probably hold a venti of coffee) and they have the leak-proof travel mugs. Both are decorated with the city name and famous scenes from that city - so Beijing will like have "Beijing" written in English and Chinese, and then scenes of the great wall behind it. The ceramic ones are painted looking, the travel ones tend to be more 'funky', but they come out with a new one every 6 months or year or something like that.

I'm getting him a BJ one because he came to visit this past summer so he's been to BJ (albeit only for 2 days before his flight back to the States, haha, but my li'l city doesn't have a starbucks).

Great gifts!  My hubby honestly does NOT LIKE gifts (weird, right?) but I am trying to find something I can give or do as a gift for him - it'll probably be something edible.  =)

Awesome gift!  I got him his favorite cologne and a right hand white gold diamond ring for men (awesome deal, I had to get it).   Then purchased gifts and donated them to an Adopt-a-Family in his name.

I am struggling to find a gift for Mr. DG.  He is so hard to buy for.  The year before last I got him a great watch, last year I got him a home brewing kit, and this year I'm all out of ideas.

He's so amazing that I just don't think I can find a gift to live up to him, you know?

    Congrats on getting the gifts!!

I made the mistake of going all out our first Christmas together, getting him a Brett Favre Packers jersey. He was so excited about it which was great. Unfortunately for me I can never live up to that gift!!! I don't know what I am going to do this year... maybe a watch... maybe a leather jacket... but none of those ideas have the ZIP of the jersey... lol.

Wow! Good job with the presents! I actually got his present today in the mail! I got him a leather hanging toiletry bag that has his initials engraved. We are going on a trip out of the country on christmas day and his cheap toiletry bag finally passed its expiration date.

@MrsDG: Have you tried Uncommon Goods?  Or ThinkGeek.com?  Those are kinda my last resorts when I have someone who's hard to buy for!

The weird part ... since I live overseas and we're celebrating together in January, I had to have everything shipped to his apartment! I was writting notes in my orders being like "can you please mail the gift certificate in an unmarked envelope!?" because it'd be so saddddd to ruin the surprise, you know?

I bought him a shop-vac, a dvd trilogy (Underworld, he loves those movies), a shirt from his college, and a nice watch. I also got him a printer but he bought me a printer as well and his totally trumped mine. lol, he bought like a super mega printer/scanner/copier/fax/wifi-capable printing BEAST and I bought one on sale at Wal-Mart for $25 on black Friday.

lol, he always ruins the presents I pick out for him! The watch was originally for our one year anniversary. We had planned to do gifts and I bought it a month in advance because I found it on sale... And then we closed on our house a couple of days before our anniversary and decided to forgo gifts in lieu of making a nice dinner in our new house (and because closing is really expensive). But for his one year anniversary with his company, he got a gift... a watch. But the one I picked out is much nicer so I'm hoping he'll wear it instead.

He felt kind of bad that he "ruined" the present I was going to give him, lol. He kept apologizing, it was really cute.

I got the Fi a new shaver (since his is broken and he refuses to replace it), a video game (League of Legends), Willy Wonka/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory combo DVD (since he's never seen either versions and I haven't seen the new one), and his wedding tie and hanky packed with chocolate (because I couldn't wait until Valentine's Day - yes, I know it's cheating to give it to him as a gift).

I was going to make a vacation photo book, two for that matter, but there's no way I'll finish in time for Christmas. I'm aiming for New Years or maybe even present it to him for Valentine's Day. That way it'll be a V-Day/Lunar New Year combo gift!

I like getting gifts out of the way, one less thing on my list Smile
