Thanks ladies!! I'm super pumped :)
@KatNYC2011: I go in for orientation next Tues/Thurs, and then I start full time the week after. It's funny, I had JUST gotten set up with a volunteer organization to do work with them a few times a week to fill up my day. Now I need to cancel with them, which I feel bad about...but a job is a job!
@hilsy85: That's always the way it is. As soon as you get a "longer term" plan in order then the thing you are waiting for suddenly pops up!
So happy for you. 5 months unemployed is a long time. I've been off 3 months now, and it's a long time not to be working.
@KatNYC2011: So true! I was just talking to my mom today about how I really don't think that I'm ever going to find a job, lol.

@Eva Peron: Thanks! Yup, I'm a licensed mental health counselor :) The position will be in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.

Thanks!!! It feels SO GOOD to be gainfully employed again, lol--unfortunately, that means no more hours reading everything on the internet.
AND I GET TO GO SHOPPING!! FOR WORK CLOTHES! YAY!
Yay! Congrats I know how exciting that must be after being out of work for a while... I've been unemployed for 1 year and 2 months now... I've been looking for a job for the past few months after taking a break over the summer and I can't find anything in the time frame I'm available.
@HappilyEverAfter54: Oh man, that's rough...I was going stir crazy after 5 months. Fingers crossed something comes along!

@hilsy85: Congrats! I just found out I got a job today too! I've been unemployed for a little over 2 months, so I don't know how you did 5 months without going crazy!!
@JennBug89: Congrats to you too!! Haha it was TOUGH but now I know I"m going to wish I had appreciated it more, lol.
Congratulations to those who got new jobs. Our state is doing so poorly with unemployment, I lost a job for 14 months, found another worked for 3 months, got laid off for 6 weeks, got rehired for 4.5 months-and then lost it this week :(
Congratulations!! Always good to hear in this economy.... make sure to come back and let us know how orientation/first day goes!! :o)

Woo hoo!! After being unemployed for 5 months, I just got a job offer than I am super excited about!!! Yay! Just wanted to share that, lol, I need an outlet for my excitement
The only thing is that this month happene dto be the first month that DH and I were TTC...so while before I was hoping that we were successful this month, now I'm hoping that we weren't! I'm passing any baby dust I have to the other bees in their TWWs!
