Yeah. I just had a coworker come up to me, look at a picture of my FI and I on my computer, and go, "oh, honey, you could have done much better!" and this person KNOWS i'm getting married in 6 weeks. He came by specifically to ask how things were going.
Granted, it is not THE most photogenic picture of him, but my FI is not an unattractive guy by any means!
Ugh, the nerve. I just wanted to complain because it pisses me off and put me in a bad mood 1.5 hours before I leave on a plane to go see him. The audacity of some people!
I'd say...I could have done worse (if the offender is male)...I could have married YOU!
WOW. I am irate for you! How could someone be so RUDE??? You handled it much better than I would have...that guy would have gotten what is coming to him! Don't let him get to you...and TGIF! :)
Now that sucks doesn't it. Well maybe your co-worker has a thing for you?! Seriously though there are plenty of people who really don't have anything nice to say.
Brush it off and ignore him! You will be married to the man of your dreams in just a few weeks!
I say, forget the ignorant people in the world and enjoy the rest of your day and your weekend!! Woo Hoo, you're getting on a plane to go see the love of your life, that's all that matters!!!! People like that are usually jealous that they don't have that something special in their life and only want to bring others down. DON"T LET IT!!!!! Ignore him and have fun!!!!

Wow, that was really tasteless and just plain rude on the part of the person who said that to you! Even if it was meant to be a joke it's a very bad one and if they were being serious that's even worse. I'm so sorry someone was so rude to you.
I've come to realize lately that there are way too many people out there who just seem to have no filter what-so-ever. They just say whatever and don't even realize that it might just be hurtful. I liken it to one of those cars with the catalytic converter removed and a huge coffee can exhaust pipe!
Hmm, what does FI stand for? I'm thinking future husband, but that's fh...
And for the record, the guy who said that is a jerk and probably has a thing for you. Or it could be that he just was upset about something and didn't watch what he was saying closely enough.
Either way, not worth wasting your time on. And just so you know, I totally would have reacted in the same manner.

I'm newly engaged and it's beyond me, the tactless things that people say/ask. I can't even imagine why someone would think it's OK to say that to someone else but try not to let it ruin your weekend. Whenever someone says something that rubs me the wrong way, I just figure they're either jealous, or incredibly socially awkward, and either way, I am better off not letting that type of negative energy get to me 
Well, my coworker is a man in his 40's who's been married 4 or 5 times. Very short, as in like, 5 feet tall. With all white hair. He looks like the mad hatter from Alice in Wonderland.
Again, I was so shocked I literally went, "uhhh, gee that was nice of you" in a really sarcastic tone and he made a joke about, "well, look what my wife has to put up with". He makes a lot of inappropriate comments in general.
Bellenga, can you just live in my ear and tell me what to say? 
I just can't believe somebody would actually say that TO MY FACE. Does this mean I'm *so* attractive I should date Brad Pitt's younger twin? haha.
aw, I think he's just sour grapes, dont worry about it and let people bring you down; some people get jealous of other people's happiness or successes and want to pull them down

I would say he was joking, but it doesn't sound like it... but seriously someone must have pissed in his cheerios, because that is just so preposterous. Then again he is counting his marriages on more than one hand, so you can pretty much disregard anything he says when it comes to your relationship!

Thanks ladies! People make me mad and I needed a little bit of an uplift. Guys are so dense sometimes, but this just into the boundaries of, "i have no tact or manners and i don't know when to keep my big trap shut!"

I bet he thought it was a compliment to you. Seriously, some people have the most backward logic, and you just want to smack them. I would ignore the comment, but imagine it was a compliment ("With looks like yours, you could have gotten Brad Pitt!") Maybe he just said it wrong!

Really, I wouldn't worry about that guy. It's not worth your brain energy. He's either jealous that your FI is younger, cuter, has a hotter girl, is secretly in love iwth you... who knows? Maybe he just had an image of what your FI would look like, and he turned out to look different. It was rude, whether he said it intentionally or not.
But, I suppose he shouldn't be surprised when he doens't get an invitation. 
yup, i agree with the rest of the group...sounds like this Creepo has a thing for you and is upset at the fact that he let you "get away" (perhaps he was hoping You would be Wife #5!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA) and honestly, someone has probably said that to his wife(s) that about him, so he is just trying to spread the venom that is wallowing in his soul.....

PS there's nothing wrong with short guys, it's just that i'm almost 6 feet tall (and occassionally i wear heels to work), so when a guy is 5 feet tall, it's just like "hmmm you're short!" and seriously he looks like the mad hatter which is the funniest part of all

I can not believe what some people think is ok to say sometimes!
I brought in photos from a friend who was nice enough to make a collage for me to work and one of the guys was making fun of one of the photos saying I looked like a "deer in the headlights." I thought it was really rude. It's just as my parents were walking me down the aisle and I'm looking at nothing but my soon to be hubby.
BTW I think you guys are a super cute couple and you can tell how happy you are to be near each other. Screw the Mad Hatter , who made him social director!?
What has come to society these days. I got that from more then a few people believe it or not. All guys of course. It ticked me off but i know looks aren't everything when i have a guy who cuddles ,kisses, tells me he loves me ect. I would not even let it get to me, you and you FI look great together.
