I wish I had an after pic, but it was so horrible that I onlt wanted to wash my face off. And this was a highly regarded makeup artist, $250 for trial!. I knew my expectations are very high as I am quite the makeup pro myself, but I expected a “professional” to be able to do what I can do+ more. I told- her showed her, had my inspiration pictures sitting open on my lap top, which most were kim kardashian inspired. Now, I realize I don’t look like Kim K, I just wanted her to nail the makeup as kim puts focus on the same things I do(killer eyelashes/sculpted cheeekbones, shades of peach) Can you tell me, as i’m including a recent pic of myself “done up” if not many makeup artist will surpass what I can do myself?

Without seeing what she did, I can’t really say anything, but sorry you’re disappointed.

I would just do it yourself unless you really don’t want to. You do great makeup! I actually want something like that for my wedding. I like dark smokey eyes and lighter lips.

Hole crap $250 for a TRIAL!? Do it yourself. You look lovely. 🙂

@MalbecMe: I was just about to post the exact same thing!
Do it yourself, girl. Your make up looks great in the photo you posted. Besides, it’ll save you an additional $250+ on the day of your wedding!

Just do it yourself. If you’re not a makeup novice then there’s no reason to pay for a professional.

I love what you did to yourself or if you want try out maybe an Estee Lauder and have them help:) I went there for a friend’s wedding and loved it! I didnt have to buy anything but got the concealer and lipgloss she used. I personally would have never paid $250 for the trial! Thats nuts!!!

HOLY SH*T! 250$ for a makeup trial is totally nuts. I’m working with a pro editorial/fashion MUA and she’s charging far less than that for my trial…. How much was this girl charging for your actual day of makeup? Either way, I think you should find someone else or do it yourself!

$250 for a trial is just madness. I bet you’d do a great job yourself.
