I feel like venting today.
I only have two in the bridal party; my MOH who is also my sister and my closest friend as BM. We have been out shopping for BM/MOH gowns once and upon trying the second dress they both tell me (quite forcefully) that this is the dress and neither is trying any more on.
I was gobsmacked; what?! Seeing my face I assume they felt guilty because they ended up trying a couple of other dresses later in another store but we couldn’t find anything suitable.
Then there’s the colour of the gown issue “this colour doesn’t suit my skin tone I’ll look sick”, “we both have different shapes we can’t wear anything” and on it goes.
So now, they still love that second dress from the first store that I’m not in love with as it’s not what I pictured my bridal party wearing. Now I’m stuck; what do I do. Do I just get the dress that they both loved, which is also a lot cheaper than I was willing to pay or do I keep shopping for other dresses against their wishes.
Then there’s all the drama with my hens and kitchen tea. One wants to drink the other doesn’t want to stay overnight anywhere. When I make suggestions about what I want my BM gives me the “whatever you want it’s your day….but”.
They are both extremely strong women and know what they want but I’m already tired of standing my ground, it’s getting exhausting.
