I am so excited I just made Laundry soap 128 loads for less than 10 dollars and I have enough to make a whole other batch! I will share this cost saving laundry soap!
What you need:
1 bar of laundry soap grated (Zote, or Feils napa (sp?) work best)
1 cup Washing soda (not baking soda)
1 cup borax
and a big 5 gallon bucket!
All but the bucket can be found in your laundry isle
All you have to do is grate the bar of laundry soap and put it in a large pan with 12 cups of water. Cook it until the soap is disolved then you add the washing soda and borax and stir until it disolves! In the bucket add 8 cups of WARM water and add the soap mixture to the bucket then add 2 gallons and 12 cups of water. Let it sit over night (24 hours) and you have laundry soap!! you use 1/2 a cup and have clean clothes (and its safe for HE also!)
Thought I should share this money saver!

I make a similar soap, but mine is not liquid…
2 cups Fels Naptha Soap (finely grated – you could also try the other bar soaps listed at the top)
1 cup Washing Soda
1 cup Borax
- Mix well and store in an airtight plastic container.
- Use 2 tablespoons per full load.
*** I used sunlight soap. Zote works too.
