- Wedding: June 2012
Ok bees, here’s the situation – before you get judgemental on me, read through the whole post!
SO and I have been together almost 8 years now, and we’ve already ordered my engagment ring.
Today SO told me the week he would like to get married, and we decided on an actual wedding date!
Thing is, the date is not far away at all… June 16th. So, ordering a dress that will be ready in time is a bit of a concern.
Well, like so many fantasizing brides-to-be do, I was looking up dresses by one of my favourite dress designers, Sue Wong. I noticed that a super pretty dress was on sale from $570 to $370, and there was a %25 Black Friday weekend sale on until the end of today. That brought the total down to $277.50!
I showed it to SO just to get an opinion (I trust his opinion and actually like the idea of him helping me pick it out – we’re not really a traditional couple), and he liked it.
I asked him what his thoughts were on me buying a dress before he officially proposes if I find an amazing deal on a dress I love – he said go for it. (We’ve planned and discussed so much already anyway.)
I’m kind of nervous since I’m buying it online without trying it on… but I hope it fits and looks as beautiful in person as it does online!
So, without further ado, this is the dress I ordered!
