I am crazy excited. I’ve been wanting to try out these classes for a while now but just realized they actually offer them locally! I can’t wait to start this new form of exercise as well as enhance my sex appeal. Honeymoon idea! 😉
Have any of you ladies ever taken a pole dancing class?

That’s so cool! I hope you enjoy it. My husband has been trying to get me to sign up for one (wonder why lol), but I’m just too nervous

I bought a LivingSocial for classes and I’ve gone like five times, and I LOVE it. It’s a GREAT workout, you’ll feel muscles you never know existed, but prepare to be sore and bruised for a few days after your first couple classes. My first class I was terrified, but five classes in I can climb the pole to the ceiling and almost flip upside-down. I still get bruises (and today I tore a few layers of skin off the bottom of my palm doing one-handed spins that I’m probably not strong enough to do yet, so that hurts), and I hurt the next day, but nothing Advil won’t help. I haven’t done it long enough for it to have really changed my body yet (and I’d been working out doing boxing and yoga for a while so I’m not sure how much it’ll change), but the girls who go regularly are all in great shape, so it must work.
I’m actually signing up for a membership at that gym, because FI refuses to put a pole in the spare bedroom for me, so I can keep going after my LivingSocial is up. It’s not as sexy in a class like that as they try to make it at like bachelorette party classes, but it’s still a lot of fun and you’ll amaze yourself at what you’re capable of.

i took 4 beginner classes and it was so much fun. They teach you how to do moves that look extrmely complex but really aren’t. They also wanted us to feel sexy so they put on sexy music and told us the class was all about sexy.
Have fun, let loose.

It is such an awesome workout. Be prepared for sore muscles and alot of bruises. Also wear something comfortable but not capris or pants. Shorts are your best way to go. Skin is the key to doing several of the spins and whatnot.
