I was picking up Quil’s business, you know, like you do, and a gust of wind moved the bag, and while I was wrestling with it and him, I leaned forward and lost my balance, and in order to regain it…
Yep. Whole hand, right in the fresh steaming pile of puppy poop.
There is not enough soap in.the.world.

i know the pain though. once there was a HUGE thunderstorm in the middle of the night, and i went downstairs to make sure the windows were shut, and i guess the dog was so scared he went allll over the stairs.
of course not having glasses on slash it being dark i didn’t realize that until it was too late.
needless to say, i hopped over to the bathroom, began to rinse my feet, and my mom thought our house was being flooded. sigh.

We trained ours that after she does her business to sit quietly while we pick up. We learned the hard way too…

EW, GROSS! Our foster dog had diarrhea for a few days last weekend. It meant a lot of trips outside and a few accidents in the house. I didn’t mind taking her out more frequently, but the inside-the-house-oopsies? Awful! The smell was the WORST!
And THEN, to make matters worse, because it was SO SOFT we couldn’t clean it off the grass right away with the pooper scooper, (note to self: invest in a hose)….well, she was rolling in the grass with her tennis ball in her mouth like she likes to do, and…you guessed it. I couldn’t figure out WHY it smelled like poo so bad every time she came near me, because I had been out there with her and KNEW she hadn’t gone. Went to put her leash on her and it was on her back and hip. Plus, I had left just enough time to take her out and head off to school. Instead, I was trying not to gag while wiping her with wet paper towels and Furminator waterless shampoo stuff, (she had just been spayed, so no baths allowed for another few days). So, yeah…I was late to class because I spent my morning cleaning poo off my foster dog while trying not to gag.
Tell me again why we love dogs so much?
