Well, I’ve done it. I’ve gone crazy.
First, it was the dress: I though I wanted an all taffeta ballfown. Now, I can’t decide between a mermaid or ballgown made of lace and tulle. Then, it was colors and I won’t even get into all the color combinations I’ve considered. After that, the reception site: We had one, the lady was being shady, so I found another I liked possibly better, then the first lady started to shape up, and now it’s lose half my deposit or suck it up and deal with her. And now it’s flowers! I love real flowers, but lately I’ve really been liking fabric bouquets.
I’m doing this all by myself and when I try to bounce ideas off anyone around me they just give me an exasperated look and say “Your changing your mind again?!” Well, not really, but I’d like to talk the idea through with someone before writing it off (at least that’s how I feel, most often I’m shut down before I can even get that idea out). FI is out of town and really isn’t into planning, he has his areas and left everything else up to me. I guess I’m just frustrated…

I am sorry. I went through the same thing. I am also doing everything myself and everyone that I ask also just gives me an “exasperated look and say “Your changing your mind again?!””. I finally ended up just picking things that I loved and purchasing, setting up, DIYing them before I could change my mind again. You are getting close, so you should have some things figured out and done. I would just stick to what you have and build around it. I don’t have specific colors because I couldn’t choose, so I have a pallette.

@reinab505: “‘Your changing your mind again?!'”
Ugh– I had this happened to me with my sister. I eventually brought it up to her, and she didn’t realize that she was doing it, and felt bad about it. She made sure to let me know that I have every right to change my mind.
Is there someone in specific you would be able to explain yourself to? It helps to have someone to bounce ideas off of, but if you can’t find someone, you can always come here.
Either way, I’m sorry you’re going through this and I find that it’s easy for me to just make certain decisions and not think about them again! Though sometimes that is easier said than done.
Wish I could be of more help.

Well, most of this I can get done as soon as I decide. I work in a dress shop and fit in the samples (yay for me), colors were decided until the reception issue and I think I’ve got some that would work either way we go, and everything is picked out in those colors.
The reception site I need to decide soon, but I’m weighing the options. The original is insanely large for our group, while the newer would be the perfect size. The original includes tables and chairs in the price, the newer I would need to rent them. The original has in house catering, the newer doesn’t. The original has a crappy lady as the planner, the newer has a sweetheart. Original seems to have a better price, but looks like there is a lot of room for them to add things on. Both are beautiful.
I will probably do real flowers, but I’m interested in the fabric ones.
I know I’m getting close and that’s why I’m getting frustrated.
