I’ve been struggling with my dress choice for the past 5 months (pretty much since I ordered it). I’ve gone back and forth – some days I feel heartbroken, that it’s not the dress for me. Other days I tell myself it’s fine, and I’ll just go with it. I don’t even know, specifically, what it is that bothers me. I think it’s because I never really pictured wearing a lace dress – I had wanted something very simple, sweetheart, flowy, almost like a long bridesmaids dress. (Although I’ve seen many Bees on here that look stunning in their lace dresses.) I ended up trying on the lace dress because my Maid/Matron of Honor liked it, and we thought it was the best of the handful that I tried on. I also don’t love that the lace looks shiny in some places, but maybe it’s just the indoor flash, and it will look different in natural light, outdoors? (I didn’t think it was that shiny in person). Am I just overthinking things? Typical dress regret? I know it’s too late to order a new dress (wedding is 3.5 months away) but I’m trying to decide if I should be searching for a dress off the rack somewhere, or if I should just stick with my dress. I’ve been stalking the “Before and After” dress thread like it’s my job, and it’s helped, just still unsure.
(Also, if I do keep the dress, I’ll likely be adding a sash)

you look amazing in the dress BUT that does not mean it is your dress.
If you can afford to buy another dress then go look – if you cannot know that you look fabulous in the dress you have!

This dress is SO flattering on you! You look simply stunning. If you want you can always add a sash. Also, a flowy veil would look pretty. I honestly can’t get over how gorgeous it looks!

I think it’s gorgeous! And you look amazing in it, it gives you a fantastic waistline! I don’t really see the shiny lace you mentioned. I think a sash would give it some extra pizazz along with some fantabulous jewelry! You rock the dress girl!

I don’t usually comment on dress posts, but I tell you now, that is STUNNING, classic, elegant, timeless, absolutely breathtaking. You look gorgeous.

I think your dress is beautiful and looks amazing on you. I think adding a sash would be a great idea. Do you have any in mind? I could edit the sash on your picture to give you an idea of what it will look like.
I have gone through dress regret since my first dress order (now on second dress order) and still have regrets. I know all too well how it feels 🙁

You look very elegant and regal in your dress. You definately have a great figure and I love the way you look. Having gone through “Dress regret” myself, my advice is to stop looking at photos of yourself in the dress for 30 days. Stop shopping for other dresses for 30 days, just back away… Then, after 30 days if you still are unhappy, look for another off the rack dress. You have time.
I bought a dress last November and almost immediately regretted it. I obsessed and obsessed for 8 weeks and then decided to give up a substantial deposit I put on the dress and start over. I have a new dress now which I love but when I look back at photos of the other dress I wonder why I hated it so much before. It looks so much more elegant and beautiful than I remember it being.

Your dress is absolutely beautiful. Classically elegant. I didn’t really like lace until I saw your dress. That being said, if you can afford another dress, then go look for one “off the rack.” If you find one, great, if you can’t, then at least you know you already have a stunning dress at home waiting for you. =)

The dress looks great on you. My sister-in-law wore the same/similar dress this past January with a champaigne colored sash. Was stunning.

I think the dress looks amazing on you, but I see what you mean about the shiny-ness, but I think it’s just bad lighting/flash… I think lace dresses photograph beautifully.
That said, if you can afford another dress then it won’t hurt to look, but if you can’t then maybe adding a fun sash or something will make this dress your own.

You look amazing in this dress. It gives you the tiniest waist and a beautiful hourglass shape.

Thanks so much ladies! I truly appreciate your feedback. I agree, a sash might add to it. I’m going back to the store tonight with my Maid/Matron of Honor (she hasn’t seen my dress in person yet – only the sample). We’ll try a couple sashes with it, too, and see what we come up with. Then, maybe I’ll take a break and stop thinking about it for a while. Similar to what some PP mentioned, I have a feeling I might second guess any dress I have – I’m brutal at making decisions (one of the things I’m trying to be better at). Once again, thank you!

@MalbecMe: Not only did I select option #1, but I think you’d be crazy to NOT wear it. if I were your Fiance, I’d be like “HECK YEAH!” when I saw you. And I’m straight as an arrow.

You look absolutely STUNNING in that dress.
