STD's really threw me, too! i'm not ashamed to admit that i still giggle every time i see that acronym on weddingbee :-)
Thanks for clearifying DH, I never really knew what it meant, just that it refered tot he boy. I think I may have used it incorrectly as "designated husband" once or twice when refering to my FI.

EDIT to add: The bloggers (i.e. Bees) are chosen by ... well, I'm not sure who chooses them, but you have to apply and have a preexisting blog and all that, I think. Once in a while one of them will mention applying, either telling her own story (usually when they start) or mentioning that new apps are being accepted. Hang around for a while, maintain your own blog, and soon you'll be able to apply if you want!

Yeah, for more info on the bees' names - Mrs. Avocado, Quiche, Espresso, etc. - each individual blogger who is chosen to write on weddingbee is given a moniker. They started out with insects (Mrs. Bee's real name is Bee... and then she added Mrs. Ant, Spider, etc). The newest Bees are being given names that are junk food items and there are some Dog names and Weather icons left as well. These bloggers blog under their name as "Miss" such and such (ie: Miss Avocado), until they get married and then they become Mrs. such and such (Mrs. Avocado). If you hover over the moniker/icon in their post, you can see their picture and info about them.

totally like the first time I read a blog that said so I have the std I about lost it then i figured out oh save the dates an felt so dumb.
Whew, at least I wasn't the only one who felt clueless!

That is interesting about the main bloggers. The first time I was reading one she mentioned something about Mr. Potato and I was thinking of the toy but knew that couldn't be right! LOL
P.S. I just re-read my original post and it says "I don't want to be on the same page as everyone else" I meant I DO want to be on the same page...but I'm sure you all got that ;)
Oh yeah, Mr. such and such (ie. Mr. Potato) is just what the bee's call their fiances/husbands. :)
Don't feel dumb - there are a lot of confusing acronyms and such out there - you'll get used to it.

...can someone please help me with all the Wedding Bee lingo? I'm new to the bee and I'm not understanding all the abbreviations (ok so MOH is Maid of Honor) but what are all the others? FI, ect.
Also, on the main blogs I am so confused about Ms and Mrs avocado and quiche and espresso, ect. I'm not trying to be disrespectul, I'm really just trying to understand it all.
Can anyone be a main blogger or are there designated people?
I just don't want to be on the same page as everyone else!!!
