So I have a wedding coordinator provided by my venue, but we have only met once and have texted back and forth a few times. She has yet to give me a rough estimate of how much this wedding is going to cost. Granted, it’s going to be a small wedding, but seriously, I need to be able to budget!!! I mean, shouldn’t I be “in the know” a little more? I realize that I’m not the only bride but geez… My wedding is in less than 2 months! I’m getting a little nervous that a lot of stuff isn’t finalized. I DO NOT like last minute.
Also, my photographer is extremely busy, and has shown no interest in meeting me before the wedding (my engagement/bridal photographer is pregnant, so I couldn’t use her for the wedding). I find it funny that she is able to send me invoices and reminders to pay but she can’t give me details about my photography package. Is anyone else going through this? Any suggestions on what I should do… Or am I freaking out for no reason?

Did you sign contracts with these people? The costs and details of these arrangements should be on the contracts. If you have not yet signed one, maybe you should rethink using these people. They should be keeping in touch and answering your questions.

No you are right to be worried, I would send a still polite but strongly worded email to both vendors that you need information. Actually tell your venue that you need to know cost so that you are able to budget and pay them. I was in a similar situation with my venue coordinator not getting back to me and I finally sent her an email stating that if she did not get back to me with numbers and a date for a meeting I was not sure how I’d be able to pay the venue on time since I was not being given the information I needed to do so. She got back to me that day. Send a message to your photographer that you received the invoice but you need to know what that includes.

Thanks for your responses!
@AlwaysSunny: I do have contracts but they are both VERY generic, just basically stating legal jargon of what they can and cannot provide and to refer to some price sheet that I never got. I’m just frusterated because apparently I have to provide event insurance per the vendor which I was never told about upfront and she vaguely mentioned an amount that we were absolutely not quoted.
@breadandbutterflies: I did send her a VERY long email of my changes and I think that convinced her that we need to meet again. 🙂 I just sent a message to my photographer a few hours ago. Via facebook it says it was read but she hasn’t responded. Um, how long does it take to type out an amount and what it includes?! She’s going to get her money, but it may not be when she wants it, if that is the case.
