just logged into facebook and my ex’s sister posted a picture of my ex with his new girlfriend (his second girlfriend since I broke off our four year relationship because he was a liar and a cheater).
Just want to say, I am SOOOOOOOO much cuter. Way cuter.
And I also want to say that I recognize that I’m being childish and mean.
But I couldn’t help feeling a little bit vindicated after all the hurt and pain the guy put me through.
And that is all.
Please somebody tell me this is normal. I broke up with him a year and a half ago. Why do I still care about being happier than he is?

@MissAmethyst: This is definitely normal. Absolutely. You dated him for a long time and feeling don’t just disappear. We all dream of running into our exes with a huge diamond on our finger and looking our best. It’s normal. It’s good you’re cuter than she is!
What you really should do though is delete anyone from FB who is connected to your ex (unless they were your friends first). That’s what I did when I broke up with my ex. It just wasn’t worth it when he kept popping up in my newsfeed.

Its natural to want to come out on top of a previous relationshit especially when they treated you like crap! I was the same way with my ex for a long time (not a cheater but def a liar) and after its like “Im so much better without you and look where you are now, Booyah!!!!! I say revel in the glory of being the hotter one, you deserve it hahaha

I am the same way. If he is a liar and a cheater, then it gives us a sense of justice that he never ends up as happy as you. Just remember, even if he did date someone really pretty, he will still end up unhappy, and who knows, maybe she’ll cheat on him too. Jerks don’t tend to change that much. He’ll get what he deserves in the end.

@MissAmethyst: hahaha yeah, totally normal. I have an ex for whom I have 0 feelings left, and a couple mutual friends on Facebook. He got married to a girl that’s completely lovely from the neck down, but has one of the worst faces I’ve ever seen. It’s not bad normally, but when she smiles, she contorts it into a grimmace. I felt bad for thinking that too, because he and I parted ways wishing each other the best, and I honestly hope he has a great life because he is a good guy, I just immediately wanted to laugh…. Feels a little good after he turned me down and married the next girl he dated, even if he had good reasons to walk away from me.
Sometime you just have a knee-jerk reaction, what can you do?

That’s okay. My ex husband decided after a year of marriage that he never wanted any kids so we got divorced. He new girlfriend he’s living with has three surly looking pre-teen boys. Have fun with that!

This is normal! I did the same to my old Boyfriend or Best Friend and have said the same about a girl my SO has messed with.. It’s a girl thing does not make you a bad person just makes you human lol

Haha! Way normal behaviour! I’ve totally had the same feelings when I’ve seen a few of my exes new SO’s… Its also an awesome thing that my Fiance is way hotter than any of them were 😉

SO NORMAL. I saw my evil ex and his wife at a mutual friend’s wedding a few months ago. Even though I do actually like his wife (we were friendly acquaintances long before she started dating my ex), I was so very smug when I saw how much better I looked at the wedding than she did. When she came up and told me she felt very plain in comparison to me, I seriously went to the bathroom and did a happy dance.

Lol! I did the same thing with an ex… Funny part is he was still trying to get with me via facebook messages! And he’s married! I was engaged to my now husband and I’m like dude, seriously?? You never changed, even after you got married! A player will always be a player! PS- and I am way hotter than his wife! Hee hee!
