Your dress is gorgeus! Wow!!! I am not really into veils but (when I was previously engaged) when I tried some on it totally changed my mind.
Maybe try some on to see how you like them. You could also just wear a tiara, or a pretty hairpin. I don't think a veil is a "must have", it's a personal choice, if it's not your thing then don't do it. There are a lot of different options, and your dress is beautiful on its own anyways. :)
The feather hairpin in on the pictures is what I will be wearing, I am not much of a veil person but having veil doubts before the wedding and wonder if I should wear one for the ceremony atleast
I was lacking the veil love too until 6 days before my wedding. Yes I said 6 days! My sister very graciously and quickly made me a veil. I wore it during the ceremony and pictures and took if off for the reception. I had a flower/feather hairpin in my hair as well.
mklove, aye we are a few months out and I am having veil dreams :P so you think overall was a very wise decision?
Your dress is gorgeous! I ended up wearing my mother's veil; it was chapel length and embroidered with flowers. I wore it only for the ceremony because, like you, I felt like the rest of our wedding and reception were pretty nontraditional and relaxed. Also, I saw my FI beforehand (sans veil) and liked having a little something left to surprise him on my walk up the aisle! I took it off right after the ceremony was over.
Justacameragirl, I do think it was a wise decision for me. I think I could have been heppy with just a flower/feather hair clip, but I really felt like I wanted one when I saw one in a bridal store and tried it on. (I never tried one on while shopping for my dress, but was bored waiting for my sister to try her dress on at the bridal store and fell in love.) My sister made a replica of the veil for me. She is very crafty. I loved my veil and still do. I wouldn't have done it any other way! If you are having veil dreams, then I would say try it!
I dont have any vail tip for you and i can even say that i'm right there with you. but I wanted to say that your dress is awesome!!!
Your dress made me think of this veil, but if you're not feeling the veil love then you certainly don't have to wear one!
That is very pretty, I really need to do my homework and discover the names of these veils
Went shopping and really liked a few thanks

So orginally I was going against having a veil but more and more I think about it maybe its the way to go for the ceremony seeing that everything else is going to be less traditional in our wedding. The problem is knowing what works and what I want... I do not know if I do not have the veil gene but I just think they all look the same. So I am begging for some help:
Has anyone ever used any online sites to purchase a veil? Recommend any?
