In my rush to find all my rain gear (it is POURING here) and get to work this morning, I forgot to put my engagement ring back on after my shower 🙁 I didn’t realize I forgot until I was already on the subway 🙁 This is the first time I’ve left home without it since getting engaged last June, and man, I am SAD. My finger feels naked, and I feel like I am missing a part of me. Is that silly?
Since I can’t lovingly look at it on my finger like I usually do, here’s a pic of my pretty that I took last night on the subway platform:
Post pics of your ring, and tell me if you’ve ever forgotten yours at home before! I need commiseration lol

Don’t have a pic readily available, but I have forgetten it at home. Even worse, is now that I am married if I can’t wear it to work I do feel sad. Darling Husband works at a mine during the summer and OSHA says he can’t wear it at all (even though he is in PR so his work is pretty safe). So every day during the summer I come home and find his ring in the little porcelain bowl on the coffee table and feel a little down. When he comes home I immeidately jump up and stick it on his finger. Can’t wait until he goes back to school teaching. Then he can wear it al lthe time again!
It’s ok to forget your ring 🙂 It will make it sweet when you go home and put it on

YES! I have before. I rarely take it off, but I did because I was painting a wall and didn’t want to get paint on it. I was in a hurry, left the house, and when I felt my finger, it was bare! I about died! At first, I couldn’t remember if I had taken it off or what..so, I drove all the way back home to make sure and got it..Haha. WHEW! I couldn’t imagine if you just lost it or something.. YIKES!

I forgot mine at home once when I was in a hurry. It felt SO weird. I kept worrying that people were noticing I wasn’t wearing it!

Awww, hugs! I hate when I do that, with me it’s usually earrings. Or, like today, I forgot to put on my perfume (I only use a tiny spray every day) it’s a bummer once you realize you’ve forgotten one of the habitual things. I’ve even gone out at lunch and bought a new pair of earrings just to make me feel “normal,” lol. Can’t do that with an engagement ring, though, of course.
I’m sure you’ll feel a lot happier once you have your lovely back on your hand again where it belongs!

Aww I hate that ‘naked finger’ feeling!

I hate when that happens! In fact, I’m known to turn back for my rings when I forget them. 😛 Even if it makes me late. But the days when I’m so late I cant afford to turn back, it’s the most naked feeling EVER!!
Here’s to counting down the hours until you and your ring are reuinted. 😀

Boo! I forgot my wedding ring for the first time this week. It was sad, especially since I have a very noticeable tan line on my finger. So I guess it was there with me in spirit? 😉

I always feel so naked when I leave mine at home! I agree with Mrs. Hawk, I’m always worried that people are going to read into it!

We got engaged in May, and unfortunately I think I have left mine at home maybe once/week since then? I have a lot on my plate right now so I just get rushed and hurry up and leave in the morning sometimes without it – and don’t realize it’s missing until I’m sitting in some lovely ATL traffic.
It has gotten to the point where I feel nakkie without it though, so I’m getting much better! Drives my Fiance insane. I’m just super forgetful sometimes!

Not silly at all. I would feel the same way. Can you run home at lunch and get it (or a CZ stand in)?
