Oh fall weather, how i love you, and yet how I hate you. I love the autumn leaves, the cool breezes, and fresh picked apples… but with this time of year comes the chapped lips and the colds. Right now my lips are chapped so badly that my bottom lip split, and it seriously looks like someone punched me! Just in time for my boudior shoot! Haha, hopefully it’s nothing that a little lipstick can’t hide.
Do you bees have any good chapstick reccomendations? Right now I’m using Lypsyl Intense Protection, but it doesn’t seem to be cutting it.

SInce you actually have a cut, I’d use neosporin. Just keep using it constantly and it should heal up soon.

I use Soft Lips and swear by it–it goes on much smoother than any other chapstick I’ve tried. If all else fails, try slitting open a Vitamin E gel and smoothing that over your lip. I’ve never had badly chapped lips, but they sound and look so painful!

@Statutory Grape: I’ll have to try the vitamin e! My mom used to pop open the capsules for my lips when I was a kid, but I completely forgot about that!

Burts Bees! I love that stuff and it’s the only chapstick I’ll use! Plus it’s made from where I’m from so it reminds me of home! <3

@sizzle: Burts Bees is made where I live! 🙂
It is a great product that I highly recommend!

I get extremely chapped lips & (gasp) COLDSORES! I use vaseline! It works – I swear by it! Everyone makes fun of me for carrying around a tub of vaseline in my purse but I would be a beauty disaster without it

I totally agree with soft lips and burts bees. I live in CT also. I always have both of them in my purse.

@MissJay: I used to carry vaseline in my purse until the top came off one day and got everything in my purse all slimy and gross!
I’ve tried Soft Lips before, and it doesn’t work for me, although I wish it did! I’m going to have to go get some Burt’s Bees to keep in my purse, and try to use vaseline when I’m at home!

A few weeks ago, my puppy head-butted me and actually split my lip. Looked super classy… I kept putting neosporin on it, and it healed up in a few days.
I have the same problem in the winter, and I use Burt’s Bees like it’s going out of style. I alternate between the peppermint and pomegranate kinds 🙂
Good luck! I am sure it’ll be covered easily with lipstick!
