I have that app, but I hadn't really used it. I might have to start using it after this rave review!
I also have nike+ that I've been neglecting : \
That's a great app! Downloading now!
Oh, and Jennarationnext - get using that Nike+. I seriously get so excited when it tells me I set a new personal best in the mile :)
Thats awesome, congrats! I find it hard using that because I cook alot so I would have to enter each ingredient seperately and then also keep in mind the portion because I know I eat more than the standard "deck of cards" portion. Maybe Ill give it a try though!
I've found that I tend to cook the same thing over and over so I've created my own recipes in there, I just had to enter all the ingredients one time, and then whenever I make it I can just choose it from the recipes section and how much I eat of it.
woah. that's fabulous! Congratulations kmattso2!
So cool! Man, I need an ipod/iphone :) I'm so out of it! Congrats on your weight loss success!
Oh!! I also highly recommend the LoseIt! app - I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and just keeping track of how much I was eating, I've already lost 5 lbs. I joined a gym and started exercising this week too, and you can also input any exercise you do. It then subtracts those calories burned from the ones you've eaten, and it has every exercise I've managed to do already pre-programmed in. I really love that it's free, too :)
I LOVE that app! It's so awesome..has restaurants and brand name information! :)
Wow! I just got an iphone over the weekend and am going to have to download that app right now!
Do you know for the exercise part of it, what you would put in if you do the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred? I know I burn alot more than the 100 calories it says by putting in the different exercises.
For those of you who don't have an iPhone (me included), Livestrong has their dailyplate tool which tracks your weight and what you eat on a daily basis (you have to log in and enter each thing you eat). I keep it as my homepage and find that I tend to enter everything when I'm using my own computer.
And yes! It's a real eye-opener!
I put 5 minutes of aerobics, 5 of weight lifting and 5 of abs all at high intensity but I dont know, it just didnt seem like alot when I am so sore and tired after the workout!
I put in 20 minutes of circuit training when I did the 30 day shred yesterday. Because you're going back and forth between cardio, strength, and abs all at a high intensity.
I love this app, but using it is kinda depressing. Its amazing how many calories are in foods that you don't even realize!

So last spring semester I found the app Lose It! on my iPod touch and starting using it every day. It sets a daily caloric intake for you and then lets youu enter every thing you eat into it. But you don't have to enter all the info...you just look up the food you ate. They have a bunch of brand name foods and such.
You can enter in your weight and it keeps track of it. It also breaks down all of what you eat during the day or week into categories so you know how many carbs, etc you're eating.
It made me realize how much I was really eating. And by just paying attention to portion control I was able lose a little over 15 pounds in 10 weeks.
I just started using it again.
Best part though, it's a FREE app!
