I have not been on here in forever but, i wanted to stop by and share my story. I recently lost 35 lbs! wohooo. I have another 35 to go until reaching my goal but i am pretty happy at this point! Here is my story:
Been overweight my entire life (minus a short 2 years in high school) despite the fact that I have always been very active and ate fairly healthy. My husband has been very sick the past few years (stomach issues) we finally found the root cause and he is 100% better. he had some iGg allergy tesing done and found that he was allergic to dairy, wheat, gluten and eggs. I also got the testing done because I saw his improvement ( I had severe digestion issues). And I found that I am allergic to dairy, wheat, gluten, eggs and soy!!! I removed those items from my diet in November 2012 and as of today, February 15, 2013 I have lost 35 lbs and my stomach issues are 90% gone…its amazing!
I highly recommend reading this: http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/index.php/igg-food-intolerance-tests-what-does-the-science-say/
and getting an iGg allergy test done.
I know it sounds cliche but I feel like a completely different person. I feel AMAZING!
This are comparable pics because same mirror, same angel

@bestbuddies: You look GREAT! Have you been counting calories or anything? Or just eliminating foods and going from there?

@MrsJX3: thank you! Yes, I use MFP. you can add me if you want daniellealys (I share my diary) I just keep my calories under about 1500 a day. sometimes i go over 😀
@ChuckNorris: thank you friend! 😀
I eat all grass fed beef, organic and kosher chicken. all organic vegies too. And REAL vitmains…not that stuff they sell at target with added things that are bad for you 😀
Here is a usual day of eating and exercise for me:
homemade chicken soup or chili (vegies and meat only)
very large salad loaded with vegies and healthy fats (avocado usually) and some protein (chicken, beef jerky)
Apple with Almond Butter
Steak or Fish and vegies. I get creative with dinner. so its not just meat and vegies thrown on a plate (e.g. fish tacos, stir fry)
Exercise: 20 minutes on eliptical. 10 minutes of circuit work (push ups, sit ups, weights) I do this at home. I do a yoga class once a week and a circuit training class once a week.
If I want something sweet I will eat enjoy life or hail merry snacks! Sometimes I eat popcorn and rice. but, honestly, those things usually irritate my stomach. so i dont eat them very often.

Oh wow, you look amazing! That is fantastic. I have often wondered if I have an allergy to something. Sometimes I am at the mercy of my digestion and bowels and this has been ongoing for years. Can I ask, is the test blood or stool?

@Vikstar: I spent most of my adult life at the mercy of my bowels, gas and stomach pain…so I feel you! It is a blood test. the test is IgG. There are two types of allergy tests IgE (immediate allergy. anaphilaxis type reactions) and IgG (delayed allergy. usually related to stomach and skin issues). Any doctor should be able to do it for you. Its a very simple blood test. I highly recommend it. you would be surprised how many people have delayed allergies and have no idea! at the risk of sounding like a infomercial….that allergy test results seriously have changed my quality of life so much. Best thing I ever did for my health. This test sometimes isnt covered by insurance so keep that in mind. If it isnt covered its usually about $400 depending on where you get it done. If you dont have the funds I would recommend just removing the common allergens until you can save up the money (soy, dairy and gluten) Feel free to ask me anything. I would be happy to help!

@bestbuddies: Thank you so so much for all of your helpful info. I am going to schedule this in, there’s no reason why my bowels should dictate how a day plans out for me.

@Vikstar: best of luck to you. let me know if you have any more quesitons. and no, your bowels shouldnt control your life. mine controlled mine for too long. I would stay home most weekends cause of pain and gas, etc. 🙁 I really hope you get help soon so you start to feel better (it takes a while once you start if your case is similar to mine. took me a few months before my symptoms noticeably got better) hang in there!
