I went out today to town. Before I went I took my dog for her morning walk. I stoped at the park to rest for a minute. I put lotion on my hands (and mind you I NEVER take my rings off!) Well atleast not when outside of my home. So I took them off & put lotion on because they was feeling so dry & my dogs leash was rubbing them. I got up to get my dog & I left. I don't remember putting them back on. All I remember is laying them on the bench beside me (there was no one else in the park at all) So my husband & I looked for them for over an hour & we never found them. We got on our hands and knees and looked everywhere. Idk if someone found them or not. Idk. :/

& No, I am sorry if it seems that way but I don't want anyones attention. I was going to talk about as I was making the post but I didn't know what to put because obviously I am feeling pretty stupid right now. I don't know why I ever took them off or would even think to do that. & Esp. lay them down on a bench of all things. :/ I just feel stupid & really didn't want you guys to think I am stupid too.

    @Mrs.Estep:

Sometimes when we are so upset we can't think right. Why not settle down, take a deep breath, and retrace your steps. I am sure they will turn up you just misplaced them.

CALM DOWN MRS. ESTEP! You'll find them.

Retrace your steps.  Really THINK about where you took them off last.

If you're religious, say a prayer to Saint Anthony: he is the patron saint of lost things.  I'm not religious and wouldn't normally recommend this, but my Grandma SWEARS by saying a prayer to St. Anthony.  Her shizz always turns up.

OMG!! How did it happen?? I'm so sorry!! I hope they turn up...I tend to freak out immediately before I try to take a moment to think really hard about where something could be.

Also, I'm generally not religious at all, but I was raised Catholic, and my mom used to awlays tell me to pray to St. Anthony (patron saint of lost things....or something).  I swear to you, it has worked for me.

Okay my boss almost lost her rings a couple months ago (huge diamonds, very expensive, temporarily uninsured due to a move).

She found them in LITERALLY the last place you would look by laying on her kitchen floor looking up/UNDER the cabinets. If she hadn't done that she would have thought they were gone forever and whoever remodeled the house in 20 years would have found a neat surprise.

@jacinda10: OMG!! HAHAH I literally just advised the same thing...as someone who doesn't pray (except if I've lost something.  Terrible, I know), I always ask him to help and I've found stuff I was looking for!

I've also prayed to St. Anthony and it has worked for me. I'll usually find the lost item(s) within 5-15 minutes.  Or you can pray to the holy souls in purgatory. Ask them to help you find your rings and in return you will say a prayer for them and light a candle. If the rings are worth a lot you can offer them a mass for their repose.

It's crazy because I don't even go to church anymore but I still do these little things my mom & grandma used to do and they actually work.

Prayer to St. Anthony for lost items

St. Anthony, perfect imitator of Jesus, who received from God the special power of restoring lost things, grant that I may find (name the lost item) which has been lost.

At least restore to me peace and tranquillity of mind, the loss of which has afflicted me even more than my material loss. To this favor, I ask another of you: that I may always remain in possession of the true good that is God. Let me rather lose all things than lose God, my supreme good. Let me never suffer the loss of my greatest treasure, eternal life with God.

    Amen.

I just want to ditto the "prayers to St. Anothony" thing.  It has worked for me many times.  I learned it from my mom and grandmother as well.  I really, REALLY hope they show up/you are okay, Mrs.Estep.  :(  *hugs*

ETA: I do hope you find them soon. I can't imagine the feeling of losing my rings!

I gotta put a plug in for St Anthony too... my mom taught us to say "St Anthony, St Anthony, please look around. Something is lost that must be found." It's always worked for me. Deep breaths, we're all thinking about you!

Obviously you want to talk or you wouldn't have made the post! Good luck with whatever's going on.

did you lose them like you will or could eventually find them, or are they gone forever?

You know I love you but it seems a little silly to post and then refuse to discuss.
