I am absoultely devestated. This last weekend I somehow misplaced my wedding ring and have not been able to find it since. I always keep it in a safe place but because we havent gotten insurance on it yet, I take it off for any cleaning I do so the small diamonds dont fall out. Because I do this so often- I dont even think twice anymore because I always set it down in the open and in a safe area. I ALWAYS know where it is at all times and am obsessed with my ring.
I was passing gall stones all this weekend so I was on the couch most of the time so it wasnt like I was out and about and lost it there. I have been going through my mind over and over again of what could have happened to it. I just really hope that somehow it didn’t end up in the trash. Thankfully there is a lid on the garbage can but I dont know if somehow when my husband was cleaning, he accidently grabbed it with other things he was throwing away. And of course by the time I realized it was missing, the dumpster had already been cleaned out. I cant eat- I cant sleep and I haven’t stopped crying!
My husband thankfully wasnt mad but more sad that its gone. He said “I’m just sad because that is the ring I asked you to spend the rest of my life with” 🙁 He even inscribed special dates in our lives on the ring as a surprise when he proposed to me. I dont know what to do. I really hope it turns up- especially since we are moving in two weeks. And not only is it hard having it gone but also very embarrassing! How could someone who is in love with their ring as much as I am lose it?
I thought the worst happened at our wedding when the main video camera that taped our wedding was stolen at our reception. But nothing compares to not having your beautiful ring anywhere to be found…..

Wow, I am so sorry this has happened (((HUGS))).
But since you didn’t leave the house chances are it is still there somewhere! And while it may seem scary that you are moving in 2 weeks, maybe with all the packing and moving of furniture it will turn up!
Good Luck, I hope you find it!

Did you check the couch and under the couch? It may have slipped inside?

Got a metal detector??? You’d be surprised how far something can travel within the confines of your home…

HUGS! Oh no, I would be devastated too (coming from the girl who’s left it at the gym three seperate times and it’s been turned in each time). Just keep thinking positive and hopefully it will show up when you least expect it. Maybe check the bathroom again and move the couch out and shake it a bit, incase it’s hidden in there. It sounds like there’s a really good chance it’s in the house! Also, check your silverware drawer…a bee posted a while back how she found her ring in there 8 months after she lost it.

i know this may sound nuts but try sitting on your couch and close your eyes, try to be calm inside and say ( either in your mind or out loud ) ” guardian angels, please help me find my ring which means so much to me” then just let it go and try to distract yourself. it may show up somewhere you dont expect.

This may sound a little off the wall but say a prayer to St, Anthony….patron saint of things lost and found.

I’m so sorry! Keep looking for it, but, I’ll bet it turns up while you’re packing everything up to move.

🙁 I hope you’re feeling better and I hope that your ring turns up soon!

did you check your pockets? The kleenex box?
put a nylon over the vacuum hose and go to town. It might be wedged in the couch.
check the washing machine too

Do you have any pets? I had a friend who lost her ring… turns out the cat swallowed it. She took it to the vet to have it x-rayed as a last resort, and there it was! Then came a week of sifting through the litter box. Gross, but worth it to her.

@Beckster329: i would have my ring bathed in bleach if i found it in the litter box.

so sorry. try to remain calm – it is probably in the house somewhere and you are overlooking it. Take a deep breath, close your eyes and think of the last place you took it off!
+1 at the prayer to St. Anthony advice. I’m not religious at all, but someone told me to do that once after I had torn my apartment apart looking for my license. When I walked back into my room, my license was sitting in the middle of the floor in plain site – i swear it was a miracle!!!

Thanks everyone for such sweet comments. No I don’t have any pets so that wouldn’t be the reason 🙁 I honestly cant think of another place to look. I even have been looking in pasta boxes in the pantry! I think it must have been thrown away. I’m so sick to my stomach and feel like the worst wife ever.

@Km2014: Hugs to you! Losing the ring is my biggest fear since I always like to take it off to wash my hands and put lotion on. I like the metal detector idea. Hope you find it!
