We are date twins! And I too love getting the RSVPs back! We have 295 on the invite list, and so far 56 "yes" RSVPs!!!
me too I have 40 yes's/60 with 3 months to go
I love the nice responses like

mostly from my girlfriends
aw, that's why they are invited; I frown when I get from my family when they add people :( ay ay ay

ME TOO!
I go to my mailbox everyday just to picke them up! my FI thought I was crazy at first but now he thinks its super cute and if I am not home right after work and he beats me he will go pick them up and leave them by my shoes or where I put my keys so I find them and get excited!
I am usually only getting about 1-2 a week right now...sigh I wish it was more where not even to 40% have RSVP'ed!

I can't WAIT for this part. I've just sent out my save-the-dates and my only satisfaction so far is watching the visitor count on our wedding website (which we included on the card) go up. :)
I just mailed out the bulk of our invites today. But I saw a friend of ours this weekend and personally hand delivered theirs...they sat down in front of us and wrote in the reply card and handed it back to us. I thought to myself "yay! people are coming!" lol...
My RSVPs are goign to my parents house, so it is my 11 year old sister's job to check the mail every day and call me with an update. It's great, because she's home for the summer so I get the list by 2:30pm most days! :)
I also love this part! We mailed our invitations a little over two weeks ago and have been getting a small pile every day, although I think it will taper off soon. I never realized until getting engaged myself how much a nice note can mean on a "not attending" reply. It makes up for the ones that are really disappointing, like when you thought a good friend was coming and they can't.

Just sayin'.
A completely unanticipated benefit of the enormous monster guest list is that I've been getting 5-10 RSVP cards a day. I love opening them! I'm sure that eventually there will be an unexplained "regrets" and my feelings will be hurt, but for now it's great. Yay! People are putting nice notes, and some of them are being slightly goofy, which is nice. (My sister who is a BM returned hers with a "Regrets.... JK!!! :-P")
Today we hit 10% of RSVP cards returned... with three weeks to go.
