Anyone else feel so so so blessed that your FMIL/FFIL/FBIL/FSIL are amazing people. This is icing to the cake but after seeing friends who hate thiers and all the drama, I’m so thankful to have ones that are so awesome. I still love my family more, but this new addition just makes things grand!
If you have amazing in laws or future in laws let us know what makes them awesome!

Isn’t it great!? I love my future in laws. My FMIL is awesome, we get along great. I also love his sisters, cousins, aunts, uncle… everyone! I love going to family get togethers on his side!

Yes! He comes from a huge crazy family and I adore them and they adore me. It really couldn’t be any better. And I can say the last relationship I was in was no where near as amazing!

@asianbarbie: Yup. They are definitely my family, and they definitely see me as family. They are very kind and welcoming people. They build me up to others and defend me if they feel I am being slighted. They aren’t perfect, but neither am I.

Same as all the other PPs. FH is more than I could ever hoped for and his family are the sweetest people in all the world. I love them truly and already feel like a part of their clan.

I think about how lucky I am to be marrying into such a wonderful family. I grew up in a small family and have never been close with them but I’m marrying into a wonderful, large, and very close family. Considering how high strung, dramatic, exhausting, and draining my family is to be around…his family are all very lighthearted, friendly, enjoy everything and just honestly love being around each other. My FMIL is also one of the sweetest, most since woman I have ever met…I feel very blessed to have them in my life! Its a nice calming change than spending any time with my family (there’s a reason I moved 7 hrs away! LOL)

My FMIL is awesome, and my extended family-in-law is the family I’ve always dreamed of having (all upper middle class and all the SAHMs have BAs!)

@asianbarbie: My future ILs have their fair share of drama but no one has treated me with such acceptance the way they have. Is this what it feels like to have a proper family? ^_^ I love it!

Yes! I love my inlaws, my MIL in particular! It’s such a relief 🙂

My inlaws are fantastic. I always feel sorry for my SIL who inherited Cruella De Vil as a MIL.

@asianbarbie: what nationality is your FI? yes!!! be blessed! a lot of daughters-in-laws don’t always get this opporunity! I honestly, think if you know how to kiss their feet a little understand their personality it can make life a lot easier. it’s all about knowing and understanding your inlaws if you want a healthy relationship. I have lots of friends that complained about their inlaws and there are fews out there that adore their inlaws and tell me how they treat them so well. I learned a lot from both sides of my friends of how to deal with inlaws.

@K2428 he’s white american ( technically, british and some other euro, with 1/32 native american lol)
I’m 50% Chinese and 50% German.
He’s got it a lil tougher with learning some of the cultural norms with asian women.

@asianbarbie: Ditto. After hearing other people’s horror stories/watching too many movies, I’m kinda relieved that everyone gets along so well.
You’d never think it though, if you were to meet my family and FH’s separately! It’s crazy.

Same here hun, I don’t even consider them as in laws, they are my family. I call them mom, dad, my brother, and etc. they treat me just like my family (like a baby). Love them for life!!!!
