I will most likely be wearing a bridesmaid's dress in white as well. If you like it, go for it!
It's very nice!
There's absolutely no problem using a BM dress as your wedding dress, I know many people that do it. Plus, it saves big bucks! You can probably have it done in White
@danadelphia, what about the ol' Arias?
@egb, the site says it comes in ivory. So yay!
I think it will make a beautiful wedding dress, and the best part is that it will be a fraction of the price!
I love it too! If it's what you want, there's no reason not to wear it.
it looks really pretty. my dress is a prom dress and i love it
I made a deal that any $$$ I save on the dress I get to put towards diamond earrings. I may still buy a more expensive dress, but the deal I made with FI really helps to keep it in perspective for me. Earrings I will wear everyday for life, and my dress, well, unfortunately I won't be able to wear everyday for life. I still kind of want a princess dress, but this helps to put it in perspective and leverage it for me a bit.
The dress is really pretty! Can you find one somewhere and see if you like how it looks on you? And I love the deal you struck with your FI-- nice work!
LOVE it! And I may do the same exact thing. It will save tons of mone and be gorgeous!
It's beautiful! My cousin wore a white BM dress as her wedding dress and no one knew the difference. It was gorgeous!
I think its prefect if you think its perfect! And in Ivory it will look just like a wedding dress
I think it's gorgeous. I love the simplicity. Doesn't matter if it's marketed as a bridesmaid's dress.
If you love it, then go with it. I think it's very pretty.
I ordered a BM dress as a back-up. I like them better than a lot of wedding dresses because they're simpler (which I like). I think it's cute - love the bow.
I almost wore a bridesmaid's dress as my wedding dress. It's a little challenging psychologically, because, as my FI said, "Aren't bridesmaid's dresses supposed to be ugly?" Well, they've come a LONG way and many of them are beautiful, classy (and affordable!). You made a great choice. If you're happy with it, forget about the bridesmaid label and no one will ever know it's not an official wedding gown (unless you decide to tell them).
you can totally wear a bridesmaid dress as a wedding dress! i like the dress a lot - very simple and classic. It will probably save you a lot of money as well since it isn't labeled with the "wedding gown" tag.
I LOVE the idea of a BM dress for your wedding. A friend of mine mentioned it a few years back and I thought she was a frikken GENIUS!! Go for it!
It's beautiful. Go try it on of course! But if you love it on, get it! No one will know the difference!
You have read my mind, kingcake! I am completely in LOVE with a bridesmaid dress on dessy.com, and guess what? It comes in champagne! Luckily, there is a store only 30 minutes away from me that sell's dessy dresses and I'm totally going to try it on.
I think that if you love the dress, go for it! Just because it has the title of a BM dress, doesn't mean it isn't wedding dress worthy. It's a gorgeous dress, BTW. I hope you get to try it on...aaaaand share the pics. :)
Yours looks like a Jim Hjelm. They make really good dresses that would be perfect for a wedding dress! If it is Jim Hjelm, they can change the fabric for you too.
You can't even tell that it's not a wedding dress! Beautiful!
I nearly bought a BM dress haha. I found this flowy "grecian" style dress, very beautiful, and only $99, I asked to try it on and the lady at the salon said it was a BM dress haha I laughed, I had no idea. but I liked it, so she let me try it on. It was a top contender :)
I wish that was my dress! Mine is so much fabric, I will be sweating ponds.
I love that dress!
The dress is beautiful! If you get it in ivory, no one will ever know it was supposed to be a bridesmaid dress unless you tell them.
I definitely say go for it. Like everyone else says, as long as you like it that is all that matters. Getting it in white or ivory would look great and nobody would know the difference!
That is gorgeous! And you get your diamond earrings that you can wear forever!!!! You can wear awesome jewelry with it because it is simple and classy. And you could probably have it shortened and wear it again if you wanted to!
Go for it! After all, it is a dress you wear one time, why spend an arm and a leg on it and you can get a gorgeous gown for such a good price?
Think of what you could do with all that leftover money!

It is actually exactly what I have been looking for. Simple with a bow, no train...I just love it. What do y'all think?
