Lol at the group hug comment, Mrs. DG, but I'll bite. Count me in. I know the feeling, though, honeybear- most of my friends moved away after college, but I stuck around to be with A while he finished his masters thinking we'd move by the end of the year... no such luck, and now I'm super lonely.

Oh Ok. I'm from Navasota but currently live in Bryan. I understand where your coming from though. After I moved(15 mins away) I lost touch with alot of friends! So needless to say, I love weddingbee too!
Prior until stumbling upon weddingbee, I was not much of a post-to-boards person. But everyone here is so supportive. I did 99% of the wedding planning alone - and I was very stressed out about that and the fact that I desperate for a beautiful celebration of our marriage and a new chapter in our lives after some very rough times. My fellow bees gave me ideas, love and support in the last months when I needed them the most. Even though I have lost much of the wedding madness, I still come there o see if I can offer the ocassional opinion and simply because it's a great place to be!
It's true! WB is the only friendly, supportive & positive wedding community out there! I cringe when I read some posts on other wedding threads--- some women are so catty! Yikes.

ME ME ME ME ME ME!! I love it here too!!! Especially while in waiting, it's like I get to share the entire process of getting engaged through and after my wedding day with the most awesome group of women on the face of the planet! I mean it really ROCKS!! you know?!

Um yeah, every time my FI hears me doing a lot of typing, his automatic response is "another post-a-thon?".
Of course, usually it's just a regular day, but tonight I actually got to tell him yes, lol.
Agreed - couldn't believe how positive people were here after visiting other wedding sites. Came in as a person who never had thought about her wedding and decided a 4 1/2 engagement would be plenty. Then found WB and wanted to do wedding crafts, some turned out great - others not so much, and now just love talking to people when bored.
Yeah, this was our conversation one day:
him: you're on that wedding site a lot
me: yeah, so? you're on espn.com all the time.
him: silence.....
@honeybear: they don't equate it to being the same thing lol!! M says I watch HGTV too much. I tell him he watches ESPN too much. Your honey's response and mine is the same.
You are too sweet! I feel the same as you, that's why I stil hang out even though I've been married for over a year, lol!
Aw, warm fuzzies all around! :) I really think that we have a really special community around here. You can find this kind of advice, support and fun just anywhere. My wedding was almost 6 months ago and I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon!
I know what you mean HoneyBear. Moved to a new place this summer and still haven't met anyone to spend time with with my time off so it's pretty lonely. It's fun being here and getting to know everyone. Feels like having a bunch of friends all over!
I've become less close with a lot of my friends this year (they're just kind of a "downer" group) so WB makes it bearable... especially until we move. Thanks hive! :) and I agree with missAsB, it does feel like having friends over!

Just wanted to say how awesome all of yall are!
Everyday I come home and the first thing I do is jump on weddingbee to see whats going on.
I feel like yall are my friends that I get to come and talk to every night, which is so awesome since my closest friend lives 3 hours away.
So I just wanted to say thanks for being such an awesome support system for everyone!
