Anyone else love this movie?  I thought it was hilarious and realized in watching it that my FI may have a similar problem.  He doesn't have many guy friends to fill groomsmen slots.  Does anyone else find that their FI may need to do some bromancing in finding a bestman?I Love You Man : wedding I Love You Man

I have not seen that but I want to -- I <3 Paul Rudd!

Would you and FI consider having any close female friends (or sisters) he might have stand up on his side?  One of my best girfriends had a "male of honor" because she had a close male friend who she really wanted to have standing on HER side of the bridal party.

I absolutely loved that movie. Thought it was totally hilarious. Also, Paul Rudd's character completely reminded my of my FI except for the no-man-friend-having (we've got six groomsmen). My FI is totally goofy, quirky, always saying something awkward and ridiculous like Paul Rudd. In an endearing way!

well it's not like he doesn't have men to be groomsmen...it's just that they aren't necessarily the closest anymore and I wish he had someone, a go to guy that he could have in our wedding...I think it's been tough since he moved outta his hometown and he hasn't found any local close friends...I too have this problem since a lot of my friends have since moved off.

Hrm... I assume your FI has no brothers? That would solve the problem! I genuinely think that your FI should just think about the guys he has been close to in the past and pick the one that he thinks he would like to remember as having stood up for him on the day he marries the love of his life. :)

Ahaha, yes I've seen that, and liked it more than I expected. I thought I was in the opposite situation for a while! (Moved home and temporarily lost touch/had some (imagined) friend issues). Good movie.
