When I first tried my dress on I absolutely loved it but it was big on me. When I saw the pictures, I immediately doubted myself and thought it looked horrible. But when it finally came in and I was able to try on the right size, I loved it again and now I love it in pictures too. I think it looks gorgeous on you and think it'll make a difference too when it's in the right size.
I had this happen. I fell in love with a dress, but wanted to send pics to my mom before I paid for it. When I loaded the pics onto the computer, from both my phone and my camera, I hated how I looked in them. I looked like a big square in the photos, not exactly what I want to look back on my wedding and think.
Sorry, I really can't tell much as the photos you listed are small for my small screen, but do you hate the way it looked in photo's? That is where your answer will be.
It is hard to tell as the pics are small. It would suit your country wedding though. It's hard really as the first dress I put on I loved but then looking at photos I quickly went off it and did then buy another dress, which was my dream. All I can say is that you've got to be completely happy with it ;)
it's gorgeous!
i hate my dress in pictures too. the sample was at least 5 sizes too big on me, and it doesn't look flattering at all. i'm confident when i actually get it in my size though, i'll love it.
I love it! Its gorgeous! And doesn't look unflattering at all. I agree with the other bees, once you get in the right size it will be perfect! =) Especially for a country wedding. Its all about how you feel not impressing or choosing things others want when that makes you uncomfortable.
@CountryBee: I also had a mini crisis when I looked at the pictures of myself in the dream dress. I couldnt try it on a second time because I found it out of town. But I just remembered how it looked and how wonderful it felt when the bridal consultant was forming the dress to my body.
When I remembered that amazing feeling, I knew it was the one and I ignored the unflattering pics! Because those pics are truly not representative of how the dress will look once its fitted.
I would try to stave off the panic until it comes in in your size and it's fitted to you :). If you still don't like the way it looks, consider adding a belt to give a little more definition to your waist. I think you'll end up loving it, though, it's very pretty!
Thanks! You deffinately have all made me feel better! The dress I tried on is actually the same size I ordered BUT the bust is pretty big. I made an appointment for Thursday, I'll post after that and let you know!
thank you! its a little big but once they suck the waste and boob area in I think it will look just perfect!
It's a pretty dress. I think that the reason you might not like it in pictures is because it is too big for you -- it LOOKS to big for you. It will be perfect once it is fitted.
I felt the same way and went into freak out mode as soon as I got home. But they had already ordered it and it was done. Now I am obsessed with my dress and I cant wait to try it on again!
Im sure you will feel the same way once you get to see the right size on you!
Looks GORGEOUS! Agree with everyone else on the fitting. Other things to consider are changing where the natural waist sash sits, or removing ruffles if they bother you. Don't be too critical of yourself, it is really a beatiful dress on you.
Your dress is beautiful! The skirt is so unique and I love the waist detail.
You look GORGEOUS in it. What a great choice. You make the dress.
Wow, beautiful! It's a really unique dress too, not something everyone's already seen a billion times!

I went dress shopping with my Mom to make it a special girls day and I jumped on a dress. My mom was ready to purchase it that day so I let her do it. I'm starting to get worried! My FI wanted NOTHING puffy. He had drilled that in my head several times and every prom or formal dress I have ever owned has been more fitted and I felt more comfortable. I wanted a dress that was unqiue that didn't just look like another gown but something that would catch everyones eye. This dress was a great price, very lightweight, and I thought would look great for my country style wedding. I even found perfect bridesmaid dresses with ruffles to match! I remember the top of the dress was big so I think that is why it looks a little weird in the picture. I showed it to a friend and she immediately said it doesnt flatter my body but then when she saw the side and back picture she loved it and said maybe from the front its because im slouching and it wasnt fitted. I just want to look beautiful on my wedding day and not "what is she wearing" but I also don't just want something plain and boring!
