30 isn’t old but it’s a little too old to have playboy invitations and a cake of a person’s butt.

To each their own but everything inside me when I saw this screamed NOPE!

@MsBark:  i would be humiliated to eat that cake.  and to send a playboy invitation?  if i were 30 and a 22 year old sent me that, i would think immature.  just my honest opinion.

Haha you’re a fun FI.  I wouldn’t decorate my DH’s invitations with the playboy bunny or get him an ass cake but if it works for you, awesome!

My only critique on the invites would be that for me, it’s a bit hard to read with the bunnies in the Os.

Oh, and maybe instead of “Peter’s birthday is here” you could come up with something more fun as the ‘title’ since it says Peter’s 30th birthday below?  Just a thought.  But I’m not creative so have no suggestions.

I hope they cheer him up 🙂 30 isn’t old!!

@Washingtonian:  +1.

Sorry, but this whole thing reminds me of a sleazy bachelor party set-up, not a 30th birthday.

If I got that invite I would assume it was at a strip club or something.

IA with PP. Also, you may know all of his friends’ wives and gfs quite well, but if not I would be worried about their reactions and how it may alter all of your FI’s friends attendance. I would also assume the party would include a strip club or some other sleazy “after party” after the restaurant dinner and I would be uncomfortable with my SO going. He doesn’t like strip clubs either so we would collectively agree that he (or we) wouldn’t attend.

Ixnay on the playboy! Lol. I have no idea what a crown royale is but sounds better than a bootie!

The invites are fine, but what else are you doing with the Playboy theme? As a guest I would expect waiters dressed up as Bunnies and Smoker’s Jacket/ PJs handed to the guys. Unless sexy women are going to attend get rid of the Playboy. I get the cake because a looong explanation accompanied it, but that looks gross and juvenille.

I’m 31. I rremember feeling like a legit adult when I turned 30. It’s not old though at all.

to be honest if his friends are all single men in their 20s and 30s I think they would find the cake awesomely hilarious. I think unless you are theming the whole party as playboy, you need new invitations! you don’t want someone to show up expecting some sexy playboy themed party unless that’s what it’s actually going to be.

@highschoolhoneys:  I agree that the invitation makes me think it’ll be a bit… upscale sleazy? Is that a concept? haha.  If it’s just going to be a normal or classy party I’d consider changing them.  Sorry hun.

@MsBark:  I love the cake and especially the reasoning… maybe they should write that in icing on whatever your putting the cake on./// its really is just funa nd thats the way even mature drunk adults would find it in my opinion

The invites being playboy im a bit unsure about as it seems an invitation that’s stylish and bloke like… I love like navy and slate grey for stuff like that. I also agree about not liking ‘Peter’s birthday is here’ as well as Peter’s 30th Birhday’… I think you just need the latter at the top.
