Has anyone else had this happen to them recently, because it’s been happening to me over and over again:
I read a post, carefully craft a (hopefully) hilarious/heartwarming/encouraging/advice-ful response, go to post my beauty, and I get a message from WB that my post is going to be screened in case it is spam and then will appear. Lo and behold, I check back on the message board, and my response is not there.
This has happened so many times to me recently that I get worried every time I make a post that I will get the dreaded “Spam Warning” from WB and my post will never go through. Sometimes, I don’t get the warning, and my post is, well, posted. But EVERY TIME I get the stupid warning, my post never appears. Not that day, not the next day, not a week later.
I have been on WB for over 2 years now and have never posted any spam or solicitation (I work for the US Government, so what am I going to promote? Paying your taxes??). I am concerned about how not only are most of my posts getting “screened” but they are apparently not passing the screening test because they never show up!
Is anyone else having this issue?

Hi there! I’m so sorry for the annoyance — our spam filter has a mind of its own, and lately, it’s been grabbing a lot of innocent posts as well as actual spammy posts. However, the mod team has been trying to clear the spam queue out as quickly as possible. Additionally, all of your posts should be showing up eventually — I just checked and you don’t have anything still trapped in the queue. Not that this helps, but I promise you aren’t the only one it’s happening to — meaning, it’s nothing personal! 🙂

@Gemstone: Thanks for your response…However, there’s posts that I made last week and the week before that never got posted, so I’m not sure what happened to them. There’s been entire days lately where nothing I posted ending up actually getting posted.
Is there a way to modify the spam filters so that, say, they only filter out new users who could potentially be setting up accounts for advertising purposes? I doubt that anyone on the Bee with 1000+ posts is suddenly going to turn into a spam-bot.

It’s done that to me. Glad a hostess bee responded! 🙂

@Pomapoo: I’m not sure of the spam filter’s parameters from a tech end (that’s over my head!) but I know that with the recent influx of innocent posts getting caught by spam, our tech team is looking into it. Like I said, you definitely aren’t the only one experiencing this. However, I know it’s really frustrating, so I’ll poke and see if there’s any news. 🙂
Also, I know I have no way to make you believe me, but I promise, I double-checked, and none of your recent posts are in a a spam or deleted state on our end, so that sounds like an issue separate from the crazy spam filter!
@missmorganista: Super annoying, isn’t it? Again, we’re working hard to clear it out as quickly as possible. 🙂
