I am looking at flowers for the ceremony only.  I plan on using hurricane lamps for the center pieces.  My wedding will be in Laguna Beach and we are on a budget.  I don't even know how much flowers would cost for just the ceremony or where to begin looking.

    Anyone have ideas?

I highly recommend my florist- Pamela Lowe. She did a fantastic job, she's so nice, knows her stuff and is very professional. AND on top of all that her prices are very reasonable. She will work with your budget and your vision- she nailed my vision of flowers and I didn't even have to explain too much. She gets it and makes it all happen and eases your stress.

    Here's her website: http://www.pamelalowefloraldesign.com/Welcome.html

and I'd be happy to give you more details or answer questions if you have any!

    Good luck!

How much did you actually pay and what did you get for the money? I'm looking at florists too because I think DIY flowers might be too much of a headache. But I also want to focus on using hurricane lamps and votives for my reception tables.

I'm using a florist in Newport that worked with my budget FABULOUSLY... LaVonne's Florist of Balboa. (http://www.lavonnesflorist.com/)... the owner is Jean and she is great to work with!  I would definiately check her out... tell her Laura Kuntz sent you and I'm sure she can give you a great deal!! Let me know if you go to her! :)

THANKS so much!  Can you give me a rough estimate of about how much you paid and what you got?  I have no clue what to expect so I don't even know what a good budget is....except that I want to pay very little!

also BrianneG, where/when are you getting married?

I'm getting married in Long Beach on June 5, 2010. I've gotten a few quotes that are fairly similar to yours, if not a little less. I really don't want to spend so much and I'm just going to do ceremony flowers from the look of it.

That's exactly like me as well....my wedding is in October, and I want the bare minimal when it comes to flowers.  I just began looking for quotes and to be honesst, have no clue about what is the normal price for floral arrangements.  But I set a consultation with the lady in Dana Point so I am keeping my fingers crossed!

    Hi Lindsey...

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.  I don't have my numbers completely ironed out yet, that will probably be happening tomorrow when I meet with Jean from LaVonne's Florist of Balboa.

Let's put it this way.  We told her we wanted to spend no more then around 1,000.  I want two arrangements for the ceremony, 6 BM bouquets, my bouquet, 8 bouts, 2 corsages, and about 25 center pieces and she's pretty close to making it happen.  After I told her everything I wanted (which included ALL expensive flowers) I was quoted a lot more then 1,000.

But this is what Jean's the best at.  She tells you things I can do with what I'm looking for that cuts the price BIG TIME and she was getting us into that $1000 range and we need a LOT of flowers.

So I would just meet with her, I think she can really work wonders with helping you get what you want and a price you are looking for.

I booked my flowers with Pamela Lowe.  We met back in Janurary and she is super nice.  Now that my wedding is coming up I have changed my mind about some flowers.  She is super flexable and her prices were great.  I cannot wait to see my flowers!

Got my flowers for entire wedding party under $400............

They did a great job and were very budget friendly. They gave me a free quote for my package i needed. They do custom bouquets and other things. Check them out at  www.budgetbridalbouquets.blogspot.com  Responded quickly to my emails. Very easy to deal with.
