A little more context would be helpful. Are you looking for something classical, a jazz standard, something pop, something contemporary? Sacred or secular? What kind of accompaniment will there be? Piano? Guitar? Just recorded music?

Hmm – maybe, if he’s going to be singing to a recording, start by looking at some karaoke discs to see what backing tracks are available?

@amberlynn87:  I just got married on Friday and at the 11th hour, we decided to have the groom and groomsmen walk in to “Let It Be Me” by Ray LaMontagne.  We had a non-secular ceremony, and used all of our favorite music in their original recordings (songs from Rumours, Rubber Soul, Abbey Road), so we didn’t have to find a singer.

If you’re familiar with Ray LaMontagne’s voice, you’ll know that it is unique, but give it a listen if you’re not familiar and see if you can find a singer that could do it some justice.

I got married on May 26th, and the song we had at our wedding was “Marry Me” by Train. My brother-in-law played the guitar and my friend sang- it was beautiful.
