Our one year anniversary is coming up and as a joint gift we decided to make Ana White’s Farmhouse bed, but I wanted to get Darling Husband something additionally. So I though about it and one thing he’s always wanted is to see the ocean. Now we can’t afford to hop on a plane this year, but I thought of something that’s cute and rather cheesy. Getting a mason jar and having someone fill it with ocean water and send it back to me as my promise to him that one day we will see the ocean together. Super cheesy I know.
But here’s where my lovely bees come in, do any of you know a place where I could do this or even just buy one mason jar with a lid?

That’s a cute idea! I can’t help because I’m land locked, but Walmart sells mason jars. I can’t remember if they sell them separately or in boxes, but it’s worth a look. Otherwise you could check out a flea market or something!

oooh! We’re almost done making that same bed, but we’re making the “modified version” that is posted on the site based on a pottery barn bed. Its quite a project.

This company sells oceanwater for aquariums:
Pure Ocean is a brand of sea salt that is made by simply evaporating the water. You could add back the water and have instant ocean.
I would happily send you some but I’m not sure about shipping across the border. Surely there is a California, Oregon or Wasgington state bee who could send you some.
