@moknits: I think the date listed is her wedding date. She's probably trying to do the engagement party well before March of next year.
Central/North Jersey is a HUGE area. You're going from near the shore in some parts to right outside NY. You need to give more info. Are there specific areas/counties to keep in mind? Are you looking for something more modern?
Oh, I'm sorry, I don't know why I was thinking of a rehearsal dinner. So I was thinking the day or week before the wedding. Obviously, I wasn't thinking.
But Brownbliss, if you could narrow it down to a town or even county you want to focus on, we might be able to offer up some ideas.

Please Help!!! I’m looking for a location in Northern or Central NJ to host my engagement party. I need a hall /bar/ lounge that would allow us to bring our own food or offer an inexpensive cocktail package. I will have about 30 guests. Any Ideas??? Thanks!!!!
