I am looking for a photographer for my September 2010 wedding in RI. I like images that are different, portraits and photo journalism with basic edits. I am looking for at least 8 hours of coverage but would prefer full day with a second shooter during the ceremony if possible. We want to take a lot of the group pictures outside by the water.
Any suggestions? I’m pretty open to all levels of photography, would love a recomendation from personal experience. Thanks.

I would very much suggest Raw Photo Design (rawphotodesign.com) Eric (the photographer) is amazing! He did our engagement photos which came out great and we have him signed on for our wedding. Check his work out – so worth it! He does not have a time limit (just says coverage for entire day) with second photographer and you get all the rights to your photos. Me and my FH really enjoyed working with him and are so excited to have him be apart of our big day. I am even looking into doing a boudior session as the grooms gift.

I am using Jeff Turner Photography (he’s out of East Bridgewater MA). I have absolutely loved every bit of his work so far that I have seen. He met with us for over an hour to show us his work, etc. His 2nd photographer is his bro in law. My package is about $3500 and includes unlimited hours day of the wedding. Good Luck!

I’m using David Bibeault. His prices are great and so is his work, I actually would have paid more for him, if I didn’t already know his rates! He was so awesome to work with. My fi and I can be camera shy, but felt so comfortable during our engagement shoot. His style is photojournalistic, but he’ll also do more formal shots, too. He’s very creative and works with a second shooter. Our package includes full day coverage, second shooter, rights to photos, proofs or online photo gallery, large canvas print and our wedding album. He has other packages as well. We went with the top package at the time, but he now offers more packages.
Check out my engagement photos from him here: http: //newportnuptials.blogspot.com/search/label/engagement
My sister is using Michael Sparks Keegan, who is also great. He and his wife are a team and their work is awesome, too. they already did her engagement shoot and shower and they are great to work with.

You should check out Kate Whitney Lucey! I haven’t had her do any photography for me personally, but I am friends with her daughter and she is a wonderful person to be around! She’s super sweet and I love her pictures! Here’s the link if you are interested:

Sabrina Scolari (located in Warren, RI) is our photographer, and we fell in love with her. She does both traditional and candid shots, and her photos are just lovely–even in the posed shots, everyone looks comfortable and happy rather than stiff, and she seems to just have that knack for taking candids in such a way that they capture everyone looking their best. She also knows what she’s doing in terms of framing and using lighting to her advantage too. We found her to be pretty reasonably priced (and had a bunch of different packages) compared with other photographers in the RI/Southeastern MA area, and also found her to be warm and friendly, which is a nice thing in a photographer since you’ll be spending all day with her.

I guess I should have closed this out a while ago. We ended up booking Todd Stoilov http://stoilovstudio.com/main.html His photos look great, he provides full day coverage and based on email and phone contact, he appears to be very professional so we are excited to work with him. Thanks for the suggestions here, I was able to check out a few of them before making a decision.

Hi, we’ve just begun our search after googling hours and hours for photographers! we found blush photo of natick. We found karen’s work fantastic and her prices quite reasonable (would like to keep it around $1600). She also has videography. Her site is http://www.blushweddingfilms.com.
