    Hi ladies:

I'm trying to accessorize my wedding dress which is proving to be really difficult.  My wedding colors are lime and turquoise.... and I'm not into the "traditional bride" look.  I'm not wearing a headpiece or veil.  Instead I wanted to jazz up my look with a really "whoa" pair of earings... or a special necklace (but not both- I feel uncomfortable in a lot of jewellery).  Can anyone make any suggestions?

       This is my dress:

I was thinking about these earrings... but I'm so worried I'll look at my pictures and think, "What was I thinking?"

    Also...

What do you ladies think about mixing metals?  My wedding and engagement ring are white gold... but some of the jewlery I'm looking at is yellow.  Is this a fashion faux pas or am I anal retentive (Well... I am a anal..)

       Thank you all.

Honest opinion- when I read that your colors were lime and turquoise what popped into my mind is almost exactly the earrings your thinking about.  However, I did envision them in a silver tone.

I too am anal about mixing metals, but I'm probably going to do it on my wedding.  I have a pair of pearl and sapphire (set in yellow gold) earrings that were a high school graduation gift that I plan to wear with my platinum engagement ring and wedding band.

I doubt that anyone will take not of the metal in the earrings since the stones themselves are so striking.  However, if you have time before your wedding, you could hold out for something in a silver tone (or buy the ones your thinking about and return them if you find something better).

Your dress is clean and sleek and I think you could pull off an eye-catching pair of earrings.

Oh I really like those earrings! I can really seem them with your wedding colors and that dress. I don't think anyone would really notice the mixing of metals, but if it's something that would bother you do as rosychicklet said , get them and return them if you find something better in a silver tone!

i actually think a heavy necklace as in the picture, would be nicer.  how about something like this:  http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2895727?Category=&Search=True&SearchType=guidednav&keyword=turquoise+in+All+Categories+%3e+Jewelry&origin=searchresults

at least the metal won't be as gold.  good luck!

The neckline of the dress  is so dramatic (as is the back--how spectacular!) that I think a big necklace would be distracting. I LOVE the earrings, I say go for it. No one will notice mixed metals; besides, that's the 'in' thing to do these days. Above all, go with your gut instinct. It's usually right. Good luck!

I love it! To me the earrings are perfect with the dress :-). I wouldn't worry about the metals not matching.  Ok, I would worry, it's what I do! hee hee

But I think in the end I would wear just that!  Its gorgeous! (I love am also a slightly unconventional type bride.. so when I say I love the look - I mean I LOVE the look;-))

I LOVE the earnings & think they would be great with your dress. I don't think a necklace would be as nice, sometimes it looks much perttier to have a naked neck espicially with earrings like that! Go for it!

I love the earrings!  You can barely see the gold metal in the earrings because what you see are the beautiful gemstones!  Plus white gold is sort of a happy medium between yellow gold and whiter platinum tones so you could get away with either color metal I think.

If you get the "whoa" earrings will you wear any necklace at all?  It might be nice to get one of those lariat style ones where it's just a choker in the front but the back has a piece that hangs down...that is if you're wearing your hair up.  I'm thinking something like Mrs. Lovebugs but plainer in the front. Good luck!
