It’s difficult to say, as “full-figure” can mean so many things. To accentuate an hour glass figure, I think the Teracina would be nice, because it cinches in at the waist.  If you want to downplay an ample bosom and provide some more support, the Mona would be better.  But I think they are both beautiful dresses!

I think they are both beautiful and would work for a plus size shape.  That being said, I prefer Mona.  Love it actually and kind of wish I tried it on!  I think it will help lengthen you because of the way the top goes, and it is so different!  The rouching will help camoflauge any “bumps” and it being fitted will help show off your hourglass shape (and the corset back will help give you a better one!).  The dress is a-line so it will definitely be flattering.

Is there a way for you to try these on?  I’d love to see pics of you in them!

Honestly?  Go try them on!  It’s so hard to tell until you have the dress on you.  The dresses that I loved in catalogs and on websites did nothing for my figure, and I ended up buying a dress that I wouldn’t have thought of looking at!

I think the Mona would work the best, but on you maybe not. It depends on your overall shape,I think. The strapless one may not have enough support if you’re larger chested, and the flowiness may make it look like a nightgown on. The only way to truly tell is to try them on and get lots of pictures of yourself in them.

@LittleDee27: I have to agree. On me, the Terracina style hands-down. On other full-figures though, the Mona could be better.

It depends on your shape. The Mona would minimize a large bust, but it would also accentuate the waist and hips. The strapless one would work for large hips and a smaller chest. They’re both beautiful dresses, but I agree with PP, go try them on and see which one you prefer yourself in.

Awesome! I can’t wait to see what they look like! I really love the Mona dress! First one that has made me kindof second-guess my own. 🙂

Mona! I’m a size 16 – this is me trying it on in the store, but I tucked the strap in because I’m not a fan of one-shoulder straps. I’ve also tried on Terecina – I’ll attach both pics!

They say A-line dresses are the best for ‘full figures’. Being an aussie size 20 I would have to say I totally agree, all the A line dresses gave me a really nice shape and hid all kinds of bulges! best of Luck

you gotta try them on. these dresses look totally different on every body shape. For example: I wanted a natural waisted ball gown, but my torso is so long that the waist would hit me on the ribs a lot of the time. I ended up with a modified drop waist, so it looks like a natural waist on me.

Try everything on and don’t judge it on the hanger. Good luck!!
