@piticuta:  I am in the same boat! Second job, sell some things you don’t need, etc! Good luck!

@piticuta:  I did all of my holiday shopping over the weekend. Key to this year? I cut my gift budget in half. The people I would normally spend $50 on I spent $25. The people I would normally spend $100 on I spent $50. I spent a whopping $30 on my husband, whereas normally I spend about $200.

I know high school kids usually do this, but yard work is always usefull this time of year, I’ve hit up my entire family and am getting rid of all their leaves and will probably do snow removal once that starts up.  You could also clean houses on the side, a lot of people like help to get their houses extra clean for the holidays.

Pick up a retail shift over the holiday season, look in the “odd jobs” section on Craigslist, or sell stuff on Craigslist!

@piticuta:  Get a retail job, anywhere.  Thats the easiest.  The second is to sell your old stuff somehow, yard sale, craigslist.  You could also let people know xmas will me small this year.  Make a batch of cookies for each family, or soaps, Dollar general has good stuff to put in stockings….useful stuff.

@piticuta:  Do you have a Five Below where you live? It’s a life saver when it comes to gifts, especially for children. I even buy my clothes there!
