Oh I think I've seen a lot of those on the hair board. Have you read through some of those threads and had any luck?
Mine isn't a side chignon but you could easily do something like this to the side instead of centered in the back.

I think I might do a side chignon for the wedding and let my hair down (literally and figuratively!) for the reception. Here are a couple of side chignon pictures I liked:
