I would recommend adding some framing around you face in the front and then cut things even with the back. Also adding texture rather than layers may add some fullness without wave.
How about something like this? i think shoulder length hair looks good on you and wouldn't go much shorter. If it's fine, blunt ends make it look thicker. Part it on the side, wear it straight, with the bangs kind of curved like this.
My hair is similar to yours. It is very very fine but I have a ton of it. I am plus size, so when it is longer, I think I look thinner, but it also makes my hair look thinner! A shorter cut makes my hair look great, but my face looks very round. I don't know what to do about it!
Pics of it long and kinda straggly, long with layers (it never actually looks this good-- it was a fluke!), long with bangs, a pic of it short, and a pic of what I am currently considering (Barbra Streisand long bob). I have no idea what to do.

Also, hahaha, I'm sorry I threadjacked you!
I'm just commiserating-- I love my hair long, but it looks scraggly when it is. So I feel you on it being an awkward length and wanting to cut it (but if youre anything like me, you will HATE it 2 weeks after you cut it)
I am a hairstylist and although I have done this haircut a million times (over it) it will be a great cut for you. Also if you wanted to dress it up a bit you could pull the front pieces back away from the face.

@future- That's similar to my last haircut! It wa cute, but I'm ready for something else lol
@ls- I like that one!!
@texas-haha, at least yours isn't also thin like mine. good luck figuring yours out :p

So, I need a haircut. I'm going to a wedding in two weeks and my hair looks terrible right now. I don't know how to put my hair up in any nice formal way, so I'll be styling it down but what I have right now just isn't going to work.
My last haircut was a bob. It's currently hitting about the top of my shoulders (bottom of my neck in back because of the layers from the bob). I'm hoping to keep the length on it because I don't really want it short, especially since I want to be able to pull it back in the summer, but I guess I'm willing to go shorter (but not pixie cut short). I would also like to get bangs of some sort because I hate when I don't have any hair framing my face.
About my hair: I wish I could grow it out long, but it just doesn't really look right since it have thin/fine hair. Texture is wavy, though I usually just straighten it out if I leave it down. It frizzes up awfully with humidity or any precipitation.
here's a recent pictures of what it currently looks like (bad lol)

(and yes, my husband needs a haircut too! heh)
Like I said, the back is a bit shorter and has short layers in it which you can't see in that photo.
Help please!
