This is my first time ofcourse plaaning a wedding and I have some questions. I want to have two types of flowers calla lilie and orchids. Our wedding is in Feb. half inside and out and I want the wedding party to all have callas and the decorations at the reception I want them to be simple tall vases with orchids submerged in water with floating candles. Is it wierd if I do that?hall I stick to the same flower?? Another question is what do yall think about silk flower for decorations?

I don’t think it’s odd at all. You can have whatever kind of flower you like. My bouquet is roses and lillies but my centerpieces will be having hydrangeas in them.
As for the silk flowers, I’ve seen some really good arrangements and some really poor looking arrangements. i think it just depends.

I really don’t think it matters! I doubt anyone will be worried about it 🙂 Use what you like!

It doesn’t make a difference. I am not using the same flowers either. They are two different settings, so it’s fine. As stephinPA says, there haev been good and bacd decorations with silk flowers. I am using silk flowers to float in my vases and they look great. It just depends on the presentation and how it’s done.
