I don’t have the exact dress, but the Davids Bridal CT2406 is all lace, on sale  for like $500 and could be altered perfectly for this style.

Maggie Sottero makes several similar and they generally run under $1500.

have you looked at tara keeley or blush by jim hjelm? they are less expensive and use the same lace.

Also- have you looked at blue by enzoani?

Enzoani dillon looks similar

and have you looked at pronovias/san patrick/la sposa? they have a lot of lace gowns at all different price points

@sailor: Indeed!! 🙂

Karena Royale was $900 at the salon I tried it on at…you could really jazz it up and do alterations for under your $1500 budget!

Good luck!

@May19Bride:  too poufy is so ridiculously easy to fix…don’t limit yourself on that.  it’s just a matter wearing a lower volume crinoline (or none at all), or removing a couple layers if it comes with the crinoline attached.  ever notice how the dresses always look poufier on the models than they do in the photos the real brides post?

ETA: ok i just went and looked for the dress you specifically replying to now…different silhouette altogether.  A-line vs trumpet/mermaid.  sorry about that!  🙂

OMG!  I tried on that dress too!  I loved it so much but like you it was way over my budget.  Unfortunately I compared every dress after that to the AV.  Finally I found the Maggie Sottero Phillipa dress (without the sash).  It was around $1400 but we got it 20% off.  One of the things I loved most about the AV was the sash so my alterations lady is going to custom make one for me that is similar.

my dress is “Tracey” by sottero and midgley. It is embrodered lace and mermaid shape with a sweetheart neckline and was $1300 . the pic on their website really doesnt do it justice, but here it is!

also look at Casablanca or MoriLee. They both have some beautiful dresses with great detail and are all pretty much under $1000!

I know the CT2406 is “poofy”, but that just means that you have more room for alterations to make it fit and flare to fit your shape perfectly.

No worries though!  Goodluck with your hunt.  It is an amazing dress!

If you want to try to find that exact dress, try oncewed.com or preownedweddingdresses.com, or even the classifieds here. Also, I don’t know where in the country (or out!) you are, but Kleinfeld’s is having their blow-out sale Aug. 9 – if you sign up for the Knot, you get another 25% off – and you might be able to find it there or something similar to it in both shape and quality. Good luck!!!
