I think I need some help finding my perfect dress! I’ve been to 7 different bridal salons now and I’ve probably tried on about 60 or so dresses (eek)!! And I still don’t feel like I’ve found “the one”.
I have decided that the fitted styles are the most flattering on me, like the fit and flare, mermaid, etc. I think my problem is that I have such a long list of “wants” to put into just 1 dress! If I could put my dream dress together, it would have:
The fit and flare of this Casablanca:
lots of crystal beading for sparkle like this gown’s corset:
and this Pnina Tornai: (in my dreams!)
gorgeous detailed lace like this Manuel Mota:
fun ruffles like this La Sposa:
and a sweetheart neckline like this Sophia Tolli:
There MUST be a dress out there that incorporates many of these things, isn’t there?!
Please offer me some ideas and show me your gorgeous lace, ruffled, crystal-beaded, mermaid fitting dresses!!! (phew! that was a mouthfull)

You’ve got a lot going on, what gorgeous dresses! The thing is, you need to stop looking at what’s PRETTY (because sooooooo many dresses are!) and start deciding on what flatters you. Showcasing what you want to look like on your wedding day.
Did any of the dresses you try on make you feel like a million bucks? Or were they all a letdown? Does ANY picture you’ve collected depict your dream gown? Is there any one detail you’re willing to give up?

I think the last picture you posted has a lot of what you’re looking for.

Honestly, just keep going. I tried on probably 200 dresses over the course of 8 months before I found the one. You know what? It was the exact opposite of what I thought I wanted. I was looking for a lace trumpet/fit and flare and bought a taffeta ballgown.
Keep an open mind. 🙂 You’ll find it eventually.
But, not sure your budget but have you checked out Lazaro? They have a few that fit your bill.

Just keep looking. I’m sure you are aware that a lot of the things you want are expensive! One bit of advice, though, don’t worry too much about the sweatheart because most strapless dresses can be made sweatheart by your alterations person, so if you find a perfect dress with a straight or a scoop neckline, ask the consultant if the dress could be altered to a sweatheart since the answer is probably yes.

@rurahrah: You may be right about the Spohia Tolli gown; it does have alot of the details I am looking for. Maybe I should try that one on too. I do have 2 favourites that I’ve tried on from my above list, but for some reason I just can’t pull the trigger. I tried on the La Sposa gown and the Manuel Mota. I feel like something is still missing with them…

@zippylef: that’s a pretty dress too!! You are totally right about having an open mind. That’s how I discovered I love ruffles. When I first started looking, I didn’t like ruffles at all. Now I love them!

These seem similar – all Mori Lee (Not EVERYTHING you said you wanted, but a lot of them). Check out their site, they have a TON of fit & flares (specifically the regular bridal line & the blu line). Plus, (at least the regular bridal line) are very reasonable priced!
